DoubleTree by Hilton Agra

I found something organised in the chaos of Agra. Room was fine, shower was fine, it was clean, but not spotlessly clean. I had breakfast and dinner option. Both of them were buffet style. Enough variety for me, but the service have some room for improvement. However, I would stay there again without hesitation.

Breakfast starts at 6:30 and although I came at 6:45 I was obviously the first one and it was not entirely prepared. An insignificant issue. It was not spotlessly clean, but it was my first hotel in India so I have no comparison.

Dinner was good

Very nic hotel and stay. The staff was amazing and so was the restaurant and the food.

There are always some broken stuff that need some attention.

My stay was completely overshadowed by the appalling behaviour of the reception night manager around 8 pm on 24 July 2026. He was exceptionally rude, arrogant, dismissive, and entirely unwilling to assist with even a reasonable request. Instead of listening or attempting to resolve the issue, he responded with an attitude that was confrontational and unprofessional. As the person responsible for assisting guests during the night, I expected courtesy, respect, and basic customer service. Instead, I was treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. His lack of cooperation and poor communication reflected very badly on the hotel and created an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. Hospitality is built on professionalism and respect, and the reception night manager demonstrated neither. No guest should be made to feel ignored or spoken to in such a dismissive manner. It is disappointing that someone in a managerial position displayed such poor judgement and customer service. I would strongly encourage the hotel's management to review the conduct of the night reception team and ensure appropriate training and accountability. Until significant improvements are made, I would think twice before staying here again.
