We have now stayed here twice and honestly cannot fault it. It is a lovely, comfortable and basic stay, with everything you need for a visit to Edinburgh. The host is absolutely amazing, so friendly, helpful and welcoming, which really makes a difference.
My son is staying in university accommodation very nearby, so this will now be our go-to place whenever we are in Edinburgh. It is great value for money and we would definitely stay here again. We are so pleased to have found this little gem and look forward to coming back!

Lovely old building made for a nice stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Wasn’t very lively but I visited off peak season.

It was very easy to find and is a great location. Really easy to get into the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed.
Nothing that I can think of.

Location was relatively convenient
It was run down, no elevator to help with luggage, only 1 person working limited hours. While the room itself was “clean” it was also in desperate need of repairs and updating.
