Hotel Adam

- location of the hotel is perfect. A few minutes walk to the lake, and the hotel is next door to ATM, restaurants, shops - really everything is near you need. -we booked 1n in standard room with Adam giving us an upgrade on arrival to a deluxe. which was nice and had a balcony! Bit more older / basic but still good and comfortable for a few nights. We then went on a hike and stayed another 2 nights where we booked directly with Adam he offered as a free upgraded to superior for the same price as standard these rooms were much more modern and really nice. However would stay in both rooms again. -Adam and reception staff were super helpful. They helped with good priced taxis, tours and any other advice we needed really knowledgable. Adam hotel also has on the ground floor next to reception Adam tours, which you can book tours for a really competitive price. -Adam assisted in booking us a beginner friendly hike to Australia camp through damphus and other places along the route. As our original plan could not go a head due to road floods causing damage to the route. Making the route longer than we had. We did a 2d1n hike with Adams guide called Tek he was amazing! Highly recommends we had the best 2 days and the views we had were insane of the mountains. He loved it, the all inclusive option included tea or coffee on route where we got to speak to locals, see animals and true Nepal culture, including all meals and accommodation plus guide. -swimming pool and breakfast area have views over the lake and mountains. (Photos below) -breakfast was good! 2 options classic English breakfast or Nepal breakfast with cereal and fruit and coffee etc. however can upgrade for a small charge to pancakes etc. they have veggie breakfast options. Overall really recommend Adam for a basic family run hotel with helpful staff! It’s not luxury but it’s every thing you need and more.

Shower head in both rooms could be better. It seems to spray everywhere. So maybe a new shower head would be ideal. Someone next door to us played their tv so loud through out the late evening and early hours. However this is not Adam’s fault. We didn’t bother complaining, so that’s on us.

The owner Adam and all the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Excellent location in the heart of the tourist area and close to the lake. We were given a twin room that has no view and overlooked a construction site. Staff were quick to assist with a solution. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean.

It’s a bit rundown and an older building so had a few quirks.

Great hospitality, perfect location with lake view. The reception can arrange basically anything you could wish to experience in Nepal.

Well located right on the Lakeside Rd. They are connected with a Thai massage and food place, so you get 10% discount for massage there.

While location wise is ok. It is so noisy at night esp. if you go at the weekend. Breakfast is average.
