Shilla Stay Mapo Hongdae

The place is perfect.

The reception staff who checked me in - Jenna Bae, was so helpful, kind and lovely. Many many thanks to her warm hospitality. The location of the hotel was great, cleaners were friendly and kept the room clean and tidy. Bed was also very comfortable. Given the chance I would love to stay again! FYI, for anyone with mobility issues or are carrying big luggages, map your exit from the station to GLAD HOTEL and it'll guide you to exit 9, there are the escalators & elevators (and an easier path. Exit 1 has quite a bit of walking up and down the stairs). From there, you can reroute to Shilla Stay, it's just a cross road's away.

Camera confortevole anche se non molto grande. Bagno ottimo. Silenziosa e con bella vista. Pulizia impeccabile. Servizi ottimi. Colazione ottima e abbondante, ma con tendenza ad avere meno cibo verso la fine del periodo. Personale efficiente.

Le stanze potrebbero essere leggermente più spaziose. La fitness room andrebbe pulita maggiormente e gli strumenti revisionati più spesso.

Very good location, walkable from the train station and also had bus stop nearby connecting to many parts of Seoul. Furthermore, to and fro the airport was convenient as the airport train and limousine bus was right outside, so bringing luggage along wasnt an issue at all. Staff were very nice and friendly too, and we managed to checkin slightly earlier when we reached, so it was perfect timing. Even if we weren't able to, luggage storage was not an issue.

Centralised air-conditioning, meaning the temperature was preset - can't remember what the temp was but it was around 25 degrees celsius..? i think, around there. However, staff were helpful to provide a standing fan upon request (can call to request over the phone), and coupled with opening the window slightly helped to cool the room down. Understand that the hotel is going environmentally friendly, however would really appreciate if bedroom slippers and toothbrush could be provided for the first round. As it is a hotel, for the price paid, I feel that it can be provided once for the guests, and any subsequent requests can be charged. Lastly, we were woken up in the middle of the night with cigarette smell, we believe came from one of the neighbouring rooms either through the open window or toilet exhaust. It was so bad that we had to mention to the concierge, as it was a non-smoking hotel and we don't smoke. we were worried they would mistaken the smoke smell to be from us, but they were understanding and apologetic about the experience.
