Centre of town, convenient to everything. Comfortable beds
Noise in hotel courtyard - our room look over courtyard- last people left courtyard at 12.15am - very noisy.
Rooms very basic
6.0
It is an historic building in the centre of town.
We paid an upgrade to a queen room. The bed was a standard double and was very much in need of some work. Toilet was falling off its base, shower door needs to be closed or the smoke alarms go off. The room was in need of a clean. Staff on check in were rude and abrupt.

The location was great as it was central. Walking distance of cafes and restaurants, I also liked the fact that there was parking for hotel guests at the back of the hotel off the street. The pizzeria downstairs is also exceptionally good. The food was not your standard pub grub and the quality was more like a fine dining restaurant than pub food. Check in was nice and simple and we were able to check-in after 10pm.
As it is central, you can hear the noise from the street and early morning trucks in the side alleyway. Also, the pictures of the room didn't look as modern and as nice as the room we had.
The sign for the hotel is next to a business called GHD when in fact it is further down, so that was confusing navigating to that point, when it's further down on the corner of Lords Place and Mitchell Highway.

Location is good
It is cheap but that's no excuse.
The paint is peeling in the bed and bathrooms the staff are very noisy outside the kitchen and the cold room motor kicks in and out all night and the much-touted courtyard view is over the bin area and the service areas at the rear of the kitchens

Located in the middle of town within walking distance to lots of things
The rooms are very over priced. Expected more like a motel room for the cost. Room was tiny, didn’t even have a table, kettle/cups etc were on top of the mini bar fridge. There were huge cobwebs in all the windows, which were jammed shut & couldn’t open. Backed onto a lane way and was noisy all through the night. Bathroom was very narrow. The entire room was very old & needs updating. Should be about $45/night for back packers.

Being an art deco building, the hotel is a historical gem.
The bistro and especially the wildfire pizza are highly recommended. There are many seating options including a lovely courtyard.
The windows did not open so we had to have aircon all night, even though our room overlooked the courtyard. The decor was smart but oppressive with dark grey ceilings.

The location of the Canobolas Hotel was great - easy to find, good parking
the property was very Mapuche in need of a BIG renovation. Paint was peeling in all 3 rooms our group occupied and one had cracks in the window that had been poorly repaired. on check-in the receptionist was surly and unhelpful. Despite reception hours being advertised at the desk as being from 9am to later in the evening, we saw no-one there for an entire day, and certainly after we checked in, the receptionist vanished for the remainder of the day.
Bar and bistro staff however were very friendly and helpful.

Convenient location, with all the basics in the room. Checked in outside of hours so I wasn't able to locate the cutlery.
Room was a little chilly on arrival but the heater worked well and the extra blanket helped
