Sao Vicente Lodge - Atlantic Retreat

Position and facilities

What a wonderful place. We can very much recommend staying here when you visit the island. We had a one-bedroom apartment with a view on the garden and pool. It was incredibly tranquil. The apartment is new and really clean, with a comfortable bed and nice kitchen. There's free parking on the property. The views out the back of the building, over the Atlantic, are stunning. You can enjoy them very well from the shared roof terrace. And finally, the staff are amazing, so helpful and sweet, we felt very welcome. Will definitely be back when we revisit Sao Miguel.

Very new, clean rooms and great kitchen. Swimming pool was refreshing after the hikes. Beautiful rooftop views.

Parking and the room had a fridge

The ac unit is situated right above the bed it was either too hot or too cold, not comfortable. The access to the property was quite cumbersome, the washroom had poor ventilation. We chose to pay extra for this property based on the pictures showing sea views, however the view was heavily obstructed by the cloudy glass covering over 6 feet. In the evening you could not see the ocean at all due to the glass reflecting the light in the room. Very poor privacy on the balcony as you could see right into their unit and vice versa.
