The views and the proximity to the 4WD tracks.
It was extremely hot and there were many flying insects around. When we got up for breakfast the common areas were covered in dead insects. It would have been better if the common areas had been cleaned before the guests were wanting to use them.

The location is really special. No comparison. The people were great. We loved the Ridgetop tour with Irving, one of the best drives of my life!
We arrived after dark. It was REALLY difficult to find the house - I think it was called Fauna Lodge. We drove out three times before we found it. Better maps or signs, or some lighting would have been really helpful, or just a guide to take us out there. I realise everyone was busy and couldn't find the time to show us the place, but the last thing we needed after a really long drive was to have to spend more than an hour going back and forth in complete darkness down unfamiliar tracks to find the house. It may be clear enough in daytime but it certainly wasn't at night.
