The apartment has a distinctive vintage character and you can see that at some point a lot of effort was put into creating its particular style and atmosphere. It has two bedrooms, a separate kitchen and everything necessary for a short stay. The apartment is located on the first floor of a residential building. Como city centre is approximately 7–10 minutes away by car, around 10–15 minutes by public transport, or about 35–45 minutes on foot. Considering the price, it can be a reasonable option for a short stay or an overnight stop in Como.

However, based on our experience, the current rating of 9.1 creates expectations that the apartment unfortunately no longer meets. The rooms are not particularly spacious and are quite heavily furnished, so in reality there is less free space than the photos may suggest. There is also no air conditioning. During warm summer weather the apartment felt stuffy, and the portable fans were not enough to make the bedrooms truly comfortable. More importantly, the property now feels quite dated and in need of renovation and better maintenance. The bathroom especially needs updating, while the kitchen would benefit from a deeper cleaning and general refurbishment. We noticed quite a lot of dust, worn surfaces, some damaged details and small holes or unfinished areas in different places. Vintage interiors themselves are absolutely not a problem — they can actually create a wonderful atmosphere when they are carefully maintained. Here, however, it felt more like the remains of what was once a charming and cosy apartment, rather than accommodation maintained to a 9+ standard today. This is why the very high Booking.com rating was the most disappointing part for us: it gave us a significantly different expectation of the condition and comfort of the property. Considering the price, our stay was acceptable, but based on the apartment’s current condition we would personally rate it at around 6.5–7 out of 10. With renovation of the bathroom, better kitchen maintenance, deeper cleaning, less clutter and some general refreshing, the apartment could become a very charming place again.
