Green Sleep Hostel

Such a nice vibe. Staff were extremely friendly and made me feel taken care of. For example, one staff member greeted me every morning in Māori (New Zealand's indigenous language)! Bed and shared spaces were super clean. It was a nice quiet hostel, which was exactly what I was after. Location was great - right next to the Sunday night market which was recommended to me by the staff, and close to lots of cool temples. I also appreciated the simple fruit, toast and coffee they offered. Really good value for money.

My bedroom was on the fourth floor with no elevator. I found the 3 flights of stairs just fine, but if you have mobility issues you might need to look for a different room type. In addition, the locker didn't have quite enough room for both my 50L suitcase and 25L backpack, whereas lockers at other hostels I've stayed at have had. However, I understand I probably packed more than the average traveller!

EXTREMELY clean and kept clean my entire stay. It was quiet, but social enough that I was able to meet people to do things with. There were small snacks available in the kitchen (bananas and crackers) as well as water. The location is incredible, super central and walkable to anything in Old City for the most part. Right by the Sunday market, which was amazing. The body soap in the showers smelled amazing too which was a plus. Good water pressure and hot water. Staff was also friendly and helpful. AC in the room worked great.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable; the shower had good pressure and hot water. There's also an on-site self-serve washer and dryer, which can be very helpful for long-term travelers. And the location could not be any better! I've stayed here twice already and would highly recommend it to any one passing through Chiang Mai!

There's no smoking on or even outside the property, and many signs on the street where the property is located have no-smoking signs. It can be a bit inconvenient if you're a smoker.

Everything! This is my second time coming to Green Sleep and of course it was great. I was greeted with a smile not only on arrival but every time me and my partner came into the hostel. We were asked about our day, there was always breakfast and a snack available. The cleaners were so lovely and very thorough with there cleans! 10/10 stay - I recommend this place so highly! It's also a great hostel for activity pick ups and you're in the old city ☺️
