Truly a Healing Sanctuary. The attention to every detail was amazing, from the beautifully designed home to the extra coffee, tea, soaps, etc that were provided. Our family enjoyed every minute of the stay and felt so fortunate to have experienced this incredible property, Thank you for hosting us and raising the bar for VRBO standards. So appreciative for all your love and care that has gone into this home.

Our stay was everything we had hoped it would be - The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. It is truly a sanctuary from the yoga studio to the sauna to the outdoor living space - everything was thought of for our stay and most things were provided - Denise, the house manager was absolutely amazing and was so accommodating and in communication when we had questions. We had a wonderful week unwinding and we would absolutely go back there in a heartbeat. We were in our own little paradise that had hummingbirds visit us each day. The outside grounds are just so beautifully landscaped.

This is the first time I looked for a rental and I hit it out of the park. I booked this place for a milestone girls birthday trip and it was better than the pictures. The view is amazing, the yard is amazing, the house was a perfect layout and size. The location was close to everything.

Lovely, comfortable, well-equipped home with gorgeous garden filled with peaceful reading spots. Nice views of the pacific too! Great location, far enough away from the highway to limit road noise but close enough to easily walk down to the cool stores on Lillie and enjoy the delicious coffees and baked goods at Field and Fort.

It was a very nice house and beds were comfortable and the town is cute. We drove our car down for the trip and the entrance to the driveway had a raised lip that made me feel uncomfortable every time the car drove over it, but honestly, if that's the only complaint I have, you should be able to discern how otherwise charming it was in every other way.

The property is exactly what one would envision for a California hillside home. The view was amazing but the real show stopper were the gardens surrounding the home. Every inch of real estate was perfectly curated for a peaceful, tranquil experience. Summerland was a delight... full of cute shops and eateries. We were thrilled to discover The Sacred Space and the connection back to our house- Jack and Rose own both!
Our trip left us wanting more so we will definitely be back!

This house is amazing! Beautifully landscaped to create little areas of zen. View of the ocean. The deck is the best spot in the house. It’s a few blocks walk to the beach. Summerland is a wonderful spot.

Exceeded my expectations. This is an interesting property with a stellar view of the ocean. Lay out of house is perfect for 6 people. Everyone has their own bathroom (if you are coupled) and the condition of the property including numerous places to enjoy the outside, were impeccable. I will be back.

We used this amazingly peaceful home as a center for a golfing tournament. Loved it all. The yoga room was used daily. Good parking situation for three cars. Will absolutely come back.

This beautiful property created the perfect vibe for us while we were in town for my daughter’s wedding. The amazing zen gardens and ocean views provided the stunning backdrop to photos the day of the wedding. The layout also served as a perfect place for the bride to get ready with her friends. Denise, the property manager, was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The house was well stocked with towels and dishes. The beds and pillows were super comfy! Summerland is a charming little town and is located close to our venue in Carpinteria. Overall, it was a great experience!

This was our second stay at this wonderful space and it once again lived up to all the points I made in my March review. A great, restful, well appointed home and grounds. In response to one of the other reviews - we were not bothered at all by any 101 noise from about 5 or six blocks away. And once again Denise was a pleasure to deal with.

This was a beautiful sanctuary for my friends and I over a holiday weekend. It is exceptionally well-maintained and thoughtfully appointed with wonderful views. And the town of Summerland, just a short walk down the road, is full of charm. Namaste!

This house was set up perfectly for our family. We spent most of our time out on the deck reading on the "day beds". We had friends over for dinner one night and the house was great for entertaining . We used the BBQ for dinner one night and it was better than the one I have at home.
We are planning on staying here next year.

This house is the true meaning of sacred space, the second you walk in you leave all the emotional baggage and bad energy at the door. The aroma of the house is SO inviting. The rooms are incredible and the backyard makes you feel like you’re in your own private little Bali oasis. To be honest we spent most of our time in the backyard because it’s SO peaceful. The experience was one I’ll never forget- we can’t wait to come back.

She was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, addressing questions right away and even delivering decaf pods for the Keurig within 15 minutes of our request.
The property itself is truly peaceful. The pictures do not do it justice. The outdoor spaces are physically linked but thanks to creative landscaping, enable private sitting areas and nooks to be discovered throughout, including water elements with fresh floating flowers. The front outdoor area is like a living room, complete with rug, lighting for the evening, comfortable seating and a large table, and gorgeous views of the ocean and the garden.
The kitchen and two of the three bedrooms open out the garden, creating a lovely indoor-outdoor feel. The large master includes a seating area, perfect for work with a table, wet bar, Keurig, and a patio. The other large bedroom is on the opposite side of the house so two couples could easily have complete privacy. The third BR is small but sweet and includes a fine selection of books by leading Western Buddhist teachers. Beds were super, including high thread count sheets.
The living room is comfy and welcoming. Throughout the house, you will find little contemplative seating areas which have a view of the ocean or a water element in the garden or something else to help you relax.
The kitchen is equipped with high end pans, pots, and utensils but is a small if you want to cook full-on meals for 4-6 people. Do-able but best if only one or two people are working in it.
Oh, and don't forget the yoga studio which is equipped with mats and opens onto the garden. There is also a sauna in it - sounds odd but it all fits together. Overall, the house is so thoughtfully outfitted that you only have to wish for something and it's pretty much at your fingertips.
As is the case throughout Summerland, the house is several blocks from 101. The freeway is audible but it did not detract from our stay.
This is the perfect house to relax and restore your spirit. We can't wait to return. Huge thanks to Jack and Rose for creating such a special space and sharing it with strangers, and to Denise for being such a wonderful host.

Pristine property on a hill overlooking the pacific. Linens, baths, kitchen, gardens all luxurious.
Negatives? The 101 is close enough to hear the traffic:( Doesn’t bother everyone—just surprised us).
We had to leave a day early and could not be credited by our hosts.

I love this house and the town of Summerland. This is our second Christmas week in a row staying at this wonderful property. Denise is an incredible house manager and the service was 5 star. It was stormy one evening, so someone came over to put coverings on all the outdoor furniture so we could enjoy dry outdoor seating in the morning. The ocean and island views and the outdoor space are beyond compare. We will definitely be back again.

This is a 10-star property! The pictures don't come close to how great this property is! Everything is wonderful. But I will say the internet can be "shakey" - I was shut off more than one important zoom call, especially in the evening. Maybe that is a "neighborhood thing" - but just know if internetwork is important to you, it may be not the best. Otherwise, it is a spectacular location!

We just left the Sacred Space Home, and it was, in a word, spectacular. The home was just as pictured on the website, but better in person. The kitchen was totally outfitted with everything we needed for the days we were there. Denise was very responsive to any questions we had and made the check-in process a breeze. I couldn't recommend this any more than 5 star, but if I could ... We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area to visit friends. Last thing is, we really enjoyed Summerland. It's such a quaint little town, but with great access to Montecito and Santa Barbara, and the beach is lovely. Thanks again.
