Il Giardino Roccioso

It is almost worth making a trip to Ravenna just for the privilege of staying in Lorenzo & Paola's top-quality B&B. The rooms are large and comfortable with great amenities, the location is great, they are wonderful hosts - despite my horrible Italian they made every effort to make me feel at home and conversate - and they serve a delicious and highly convenient pensione. The house itself is gorgeous and full of wonderful, eclectic decoration. They also recommended great restaurants for me to go to (with small discounts at some to boot!). I cannot recommend Il Giardino Roccioso highly enough.

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, the room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and with all facilities one could desire. The garden outside the room is very attractive and and enjoyable location within which to relax. Wifi is excellent, and breakfast has a wide range of choices. Although near the centre of the old town of Ravenna, the street is quiet and largely traffic free.

You could get a bus that drops you off a few blocks away, but difficult to work out the routes and times, otherwise about a 20 minute walk to the railway station.
