Hotel Carmen

Big family suite, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice, restaurant food was great at dinner too. Lovely live music in the evening, old Romanian and international tunes. Fab pool, clean and good size, great for all ages. Central location, parking available.

Noise from the main road outside, but that can be expected in such a central location and it wasn't too bad.

Big apartment with an extendable sofa. Huge bed in the bedroom. One of the best and most varied breakfast in Romanian hotels. Pool is big enough. Restaurant food was ok, nothing special about it, not bad but definitely could be improved. Enough parking places...if you happen to arrive early. If not, you can fid some by the Petrom gas station.

They do have a kids game room (huuuge) but kindda empty, not so many toys and those that are there are not in the best shape.

The breakfast was varied and the staff very prompt.

The room (room with terrace) was large, but the terrace was huge. It also has a bathtub, which was great. The view was also nice, laying in the sunbed on terrace made my day, breakfast was great, although almost the same every day. It is nice it has a spa - the jacuzzi was the best, the sauna was ok, the pool was a little small, but the water was warm and there were very few people, so no big deal about the dimensions. It was great that it was a local parking lot. It also has a bowling alley, not too frequent as I know, although you must pay separately (50ron/half hour, I think).

Maybe in a year or two the room must be refurbished, the carpet has worn signs (passable). Aa, and a little dark in the evening, or so I think, in the reception area in special. But nothing to prevent you from visiting.
