The Shearwater resort is a busy place that mainly caters to tour groups and has a great location right in the middle of Vic Falls town. You can certainly walk to the falls but it is either along a road with no proper footpath or there is a path away from the road but you may encounter animals, The breakfast was good and we ate dinner at the restaurant one night which was fine. The resort has lovely gardens and a relaxing pool and bar area. Staff were friendly but were very busy given the resort was full when we stayed. We organised our transfers from the airport and to Botswana through them and that worked well. The transfers and the room rates were certainly good value.

We stayed in a deluxe twin on two separate occasions and had very different experiences. You can request a double but we ended up with a twin both times. There are old and new deluxe twin rooms and the new ones are much better than the old ones and cost the same. We might have been unlucky but the older room had a safe that didn't work properly and noisy aircon whereas the new room was well decorated had newer fittings and was much more comfortable.

Beautiful rooms, great setting within walking distance of Victoria Falls, restaurants and shops. Everything is new and clean. Lovely pool area.

I booked through Booking.com and the property did not have a room for me or anyone else who booked through Booking.com for the first night. We were downgraded to a nearby hotel for the night and inconvenienced. I definitely recommend the property but would not book through Booking.com again. Rather use an agent or book direct.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were always available if I had a special request. Our room was beautiful. Our room was very spacious with plenty of room for our belongings. We booked a Deluxe room It appeared the Shearwater has a lot of different styles & types of accommodation for traveller's on different budgets. Great location to local restaurants, bars and local markets. Easy to walk around the surrounding area. The bar & pool area were great. Great place to relax & unwind after our day of sightseeing. Food by the pool was excellent. We booked the majority of our day trips once we arrived at Shearwater Village. Excellent choice of activities for all age groups. Tours were excellent. Airport transfers were reliable and driver was very informative on our journey to accommodation. Loved the turn down of the bed,& mosquito net & spraying of the room every night.

Great location and walkable from the falls. Also nice design of the rooms, however also totally outdated. The included dinner was superb, the breakfast only ok.

Wifi was available, but super slow. The insect screens had a lot of holes and I got bitten in the bed. Also by bedbugs. Staff attitude in the restaurant was bad.
