Great location.

Stairs are a bit dicey. Black decor increased the heat of the apartment. It is probably great in the winter.

Fabulous location with many good cafes and restaurants nearby. Easy walking to anywhere in Amsterdam and also tram stops nearby. Enjoyed living like a local and great spot right on the canal. Communication was very good.

Room and bathroom were not clean, very dusty. Bathroom mirror not useable unless you’re over 6ft tall. Bed was small and ok but rolled in middle. Wifi and tv didn’t work - reported it but they were unable to fix while we stayed.

The location is brilliant - and a supermarket only 250m away. Also, walking to museums is only 20-25 minutes walk. Julian was extremely helpful in answering any questions very quickly, and the view of the canal was lovely. I also like the fact the owner does social impact / capacity enhancement work with their money to help others.

This isn’t a criticism of the property - but get use to very thin staircases if you’re staying in The Netherlands!

I was largly disappointed with this apartment as it was listed to have a kitchenette and this was the main reason i booked to keep food costs down, however it did not specified until you arrived that you could not use the cooking facilities inside the apartment. It was also not listed anywhere that there was a no noise policy after 11. You had to be silent coming in and out of the apartment after 11 but were also told to keep quiet at all times. There were posters asking you to take shoes off before entering the close area. As this was a weekend break, i feel this should have been stated as i did not enjoy sneaking in and out of the apartment. The final issue was the fact that the apartment was largly unheated. It did have heating, but this did not work at night. There was a notice at the heater saying it would not work after a certain time, again with this being a weekend break i feel this should have been clearly listed as i was not getting home most nights untill after the heating stopped working, you also were not allowed to leave heating on when you were out so the apartment was mostly cold for my stay.
