A very quiet and beautiful location with accommodation/facilities which was perfect for our group. Kitchen, bathroom(s), bedrooms, lounge, equipment were all great. (A working tin-opener was present and sufficient kitchen cutlery for preparing a range of meals.) Beds were fine but having bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom would be an improvement and would encourage more families to stay without it feeling overcrowded.

Lids for some pans were missing, the freezer had either broken or wobbly shelves...I didn't investigate further. The fridge/freezer began to sound like a motorcycle so I turned it off for a whole night and then back on. This solved the issue. The venue was further than I'd imagined from Keswick along a rather narrow and dangerous road, so we wasted a lot of time 'back and forth' and didn't really have time to explore Rosthwaite as we'd hoped. Parking was a bit-of-an-issue as the designated spaces were rather narrow when neighbours' cars were present...however, it did work okay...better than no parking spaces at all!

The only problem was that we were supplied with the wrong number for the key safe. A call to the enquiry number and we were given the correct one.

Location was perfect but we know the area well.Abit of traffic noise in morning but ok,lovely walks close by and good pub a few steps away which is a very welcoming place.Only complaint for us was, its abit tired and could to with a refresh of some furnishing and bathroom/toilet left much to be desired, old bath was scratched and shower curtain orange and mouldy, dirty old floorboards that could do with covering up ! Kitchen very good and fully equipped for all your needs,so in general good.Bus just outside,cafe with great views close by so everything on your door step.
