This hotel is a perfect place to stay in the heart of the jungle, right next to Udawalawe National Park (where we had the most beautiful safari of our entire trip!). It is beautifully decorated, and the rooms are cosy little cabins, which give you plenty of privacy and make the stay very peaceful.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, which made us feel very welcome. We also really appreciated the hotel’s sustainable practices and the restaurant was really good.
We absolutely loved the hotel’s dog — having him around made our stay even better!
A little more artificial lighting in the bathroom would be helpful, especially in the shower area, which felt a bit dark.

It is a really nice place to stay. It just opened 7 months ago. Gaga Bees is located in the middle of jungle and still equipped with comfort. The cottage is comfortable and spacious. The wifi connection is only at the restaurant but it’s alright since it gives you time to relax. Pool is nice, staffs are very friendly. Good breakfast too!
They only have blanket sheet not the blanket itself, but that’s alright since we only stayed for one night.

Dinesh was very attentive, the rooms were very large and had AC! I liked the food options as well. Especially the buffalo curd & fruit bowl for breakfast. The safari was INCREDIBLE. I saw so much wildlife and elephants, Nimanda was my guide and he was able to spot things I could never see! I will also miss Bluey! 🐾
I didn’t like that when I arrived, there was some trash by the river entrance. Also, at dinner, they would play some music that was a bit loud for me.

If you are looking for a secluded, luxurious stay with a real safari feel then look no further. This place is absolutely exceptional! They do so much for you and the pool is the perfect temperature for cooling down.
The staff were absolutely amazing thought about your every need.
