What made my stay at Cat Ba Central Homestay truly special was the owner’s kindness and personal attention. He was always thoughtful and attentive, taking care of the little details that make you feel welcome and at home. The room was comfortable, and the warm, genuine hospitality made the whole experience even better. I’m very grateful for such a lovely stay and would happily recommend this place.

This was the perfect place for our time in Cat Ba. Truong and his family were all very welcoming and friendly. The homestay was spotlessly clean and everything functioned as it should. The big bed and linens were comfortable, AC nice and cool, showers ran hot and a very affordable breakfast is offered with fresh coffee. Great access to local restaurants and shops and very easy to get around on foot. Thank you for such a great time.

Comfy bed. Big shower.
I didn't like having to go to the 5th floor (no elevator). The a.c. in the room worked really slowly (up to 40 minutes to cool the room) on a not so hot day. Of course you can try to leave it on at a reasonable temperature, but the owner just turns everything off once you leave your room.
Finally, the location of the homestay is a bit far from all the restaurants. I'm talking about a 20 minute non flat walk.
All in all, I think it's not worth the money. I think it's too expensive considering the location and facilities.
