A lovely pub in a quiet village just a short drive from the A66. Great welcome from the lovely sister and brother team. Very relaxed and warm atmosphere. Lots of locals using it - always a good sign. Delicious food - much needed after a long drive. All very straightforward and great value for a single overnight stay.
Nothing. Breakfast not included but that was due to not booking directly.

Nice room with a lovely new bathroom

Very friendly and helpful staff and It certainly lived up to the luxury description as the rooms are beautifully finished and a very comfortable bed. If you stay here then eat in the restaurant and have the steak pie meal with homemade chips and veg, it is truly a culinary masterpiece.
Not really a dislike, it’s slightly off the main travel routes but it is worth the few miles drive to stay here.
