Perfect location. Just the right size for husband and I. So cute. Beautiful solid wood floors quiet area right by SW Harbor of Acadia NP.

Very nice country style barn like (smell of the old wood) home that is perfect for a couple. Not very far from Acadia and bar harbor. We went in the fall and it was beautiful.

The house is adorable, big bed wonderful sheets. If you plan to do much cooking you will want to bring a few things but there is a skillet and pasta pot. Tiny cutting board, more like a bar board.
Bring your own shampoo. We didn't get the email saying it's not provided until 10 minutes before check in.

This is a really neat old farmhouse with ceiling beams and an old barn door with all you need. Convenient to Bar Harbor(10-15 min) and a grocery site just down the road. Acadia National Park is all around.

We had a comfortable stay at the Carriage House, which was in a short distance to town. We had an anniversary dinner at Red Sky which was delicious. Although close to the main road, we heard little to no noise at night. Everything was provided at the cottage and it was perfect for two people.

We loved our stay at The Carriage House! It was perfect for our Mother & Daughter trip! The house was clean and had everything we needed! Ingrid was very responsive to my messages! It was a great location for Acadia, Echo Lake and Bar Harbor! Had a delicious dinner at Beal’s Lobster Pier!! Wish we could have stayed longer!! Hope to return some day!!

This cottage was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We loved the location- away from the chaos of bar harbor but within walking distance of several great restaurants. It was very convenient to everything we wanted to do on our visit. Great, clear communication from the host. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Great 4 night stay. Good location far enough from Bar Harbor crowd, but close enough to get to everywhere. Plenty of good spots to eat around the immediate area - Little Crust Bakery, Beal’s Lobster, and Peter Trouts.

We rented for a little get away for our 25th anniversary. The house was sweet very comfortable. We had issue with internet and the host was very quick to fix. Would definitely stay again if we ever make our way nack to Maine

The location was great for visiting Acadia all 3 days we hiked and we could come back to our rental to rest and there were several great restaurants nearby. Ingrid responded quickly to my question about the grill on the property.

Great little place! We were able to get everywhere we wanted with ease with Bar Harbor being the longest drive, 20 minutes scenic route. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Very cozy place. Definitely recommend.

We loved the farmhouse for our first visit to MDI! Everything was very clean. We also enjoyed the fact there was a washer and dryer for our use. We used the maps and books about Acadia and MDI to plan our days.

Perfect spot on the quiet side! Everything was just right in the property, the bed was so comfortable and the 2 recliners were a welcome relief after a long day of hiking! Highly recommend!

My husband and I very much enjoyed staying at the Farmhouse in Southwest Harbor. The place was very clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a convenient walk to the small downtown and also very convenient to many local restaurants with some great food. We would love to come back!

Acadia autumn trip
We had a great time on Mt. Desert Island during our trip to New England. We spent time hiking in Acadia National Park, along with eating and shopping in the Bar Harbor area. This house was the perfect place to relax after our daily activities. Milagro Coffee was a short walk from the house for morning drinks and a light breakfast to start the day. This is definitely worth a return visit.

Old Farmhouse
We enjoyed this delightful, nicely decorated place which is a walk away from the shops in Southwest Harbor. There were many extra touches to make it special (ie maps and guide books to look through) as well as a rack of hardback books, many TV watching options, and two, comfortable reclining chairs that made this place feel like home away from home. The king size bed was a bit too firm, but if that is not a problem for you, then we highly recommend staying here.

The unit is clean, with supplies that we need in a short stay. The host is easy to reach when we have any questions.
The location is 4 miles from Bass Harbor, and 20 minutes drive to Acadia National Park visit center. With a few minutes short drive, we can get to echo lake beach, beech mountain, acadia mountain or other mountains. It's less crowded in those mountains. After hiking we can come back house to take a break.
