The staff, the food, and the location.
Room was too small

Very central location 2mins from bus train and ferry. The hotel is an old scottish house with creaky floors and brown wood. The bedroom was well appointed with a comfy bed and sea view on the 4th floor the bathroom was gleaming white with new facilities
The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. Self service breakfast with good choice in a large breakfast room. Enjoyed Oban very much.

Proximity to ferry & train. Great views of the downtown. Access to excellent walking & dining. Staff is exceptional.
It is dared & worn but charming in its way. Expensive tho…

Central location was good. Breakfast was ok, but ran out of some options
Beds were uncomfortable, its so important to get a good sleep. Hotel in general needs updating, i visited 20years ago and it literally has not changed (with the exception of the staff), threadbare carpets, still using key to lock /unlock room door.
Sometimes old can be quaint and charming, this unfortunately is not.
