Best Western Swiss Cottage Hotel

The location is fantastic. The service team were amazing. Late at night and all hours. Easy to get everywhere.Safe area. There are alternative vegan meals right on the doorstep. It is clean, friendly, has a lift and stairs option, near a road that has everything you need. Good bus transport for those that prefer , instead of the underground that is right next door. It has a light food cafe in the evening. Our room was big and sunny and had a small salon set too. Windows open wide,so loads of fresh air.The service was amazing from taxis, to explanations, to really enquiring about our days,to helping us at all hours of the night,cleaning every day even if we were late at getting up. The English breakfast satisfied my family.The fact that we didn't want to leave explains how much we felt pampered and could have stayed another month easily.

It's hard to give negative feedback but it's probably helpful too.The creaky floors that one hears exist in most hotels but we solved it with the noise of a small fan which is provided,earplugs .. And so could sleep and not be bothered by it.Also it's only at certain times of the day. And therefore is solvable.The English breakfast menus included vegetarian options but the vegan option missed essential protein, vegetables. For someone that needs to be sugar free and is vegan, there's a slight 1 need for improvement.. But we really loved being there.It is a fantastic hotel. Highly recommend to everyone.

Old London feel

The fact that Best Western is going to renovate some of the building. I.e. A/C, out front of the building they replaced the original Rod Iron Chairs to cheap Amazon Rod Iron looking chairs. They are ruining the old London feel, which was the only reason we always chose this hotel. The price will increase and I guess we will have to see what happens. Long time Repeating Guest

Staff were amazing and super friendly. As a single traveler i was given a twin room understandably. however being a big guy i cant sleep in a single bed. the staff were super kind and swapped out my room. I called reception with a broken iron complaint and they brought me a brand new one. The staff were all super friendly and very accommodating. I liked the fact the little girl was allowed to practice her piano. Most hotels would be funny about guests using the piano.

room was very tired. wallpaper peeling from the walls. Carpet badly stained. Shower plug was backed up so when showering the bath filled up. The tap's faucet in the sink hasn't been descaled or scrubbed so when the tap is turned on the water goes in various directions. also when the water is running in the sink the bath plug has water that comes up in it with a weird gargling noise. Iron was broken and poured water all over my shirt but that was resolved. No late evening menu.
