Kingsland Hotel

Position was great and staff very friendly

Property a bit tired

It was close to every thing you needed And a short walk to the station

Noise from outside traffic No bath Filling kettle up with a cup Washing your face

As a solo traveller wanting to meet with friends and explore London, this was an ideal hotel for that purpose, with Kingsbury underground station (Jubilee Line) a very short walk away (visible and less than 5 minutes away). The hotel was excellent value for money. The staff were cheerful, friendly and responsive to any problems or requests. My room had a very tidy and clean bathroom, a double bed, a sofa and a desk. The television had a slight problem with it on arrival and it was replaced within a day! For me, and my week in London, this was a perfect base. The hotel does not offer breakfasts but it is surrounded by a wide range of eateries on Kingsbury High Road. I found the whole experience a good one and I hope to return for a stay later in the year.

There was a wi-fi issue during the week and had I been, say, a business traveller, this could have been problematic. It did not really affect me. To be fair to the hotel, attempts were made on several occasions to rectify the wi-fi issues and my advice to travellers needing to rely on a strong wi-fi connection would be check with the hotel in advance. The only other point to make is that the excellent location is also a double-edged sword, as the hotel is located just off a major roundabout, so be prepared for traffic noise (especially emergency vehicles with alarms blaring). I am a deep sleeper so, once again, this did not really affect me as I soon got used to it, but if you are a light sleeper please go prepared for this. Personally, the location was a win for me but I think this is worth pointing out for those who would prefer a quieter experience.

There was plenty of space in the room. Tea and coffee making was OK. The hotel was very handily located for the Jubilee Line which took staight to Westminster where we wanted to go. Kingsbury was fascinating for a 2-day visit - lots of different cultures and an excellent Wetherspoons.

Poor decoration, particularly in hte shower. Poor furniture in the room only one folding chair an no occasional table. We'd have preferred a table to the 2 single beds which were in additon to a large doubel bed, The Booking.com showed a dining room which we didnt't find and didn't try to once we found out there was no breakfast. The room only rent of £150 per night repesened poor value for money. £100 per night would have been fair, given the excelent location of the hotel
