Bathroom sink very awkward

General atmosphere. Staff all friendly especially Sylvia and Gordon. After initial issue with room Sylvia went out of her way to give us an amazing spacious room. Food great good choice at breakfast. Location great. Car park free

Standard room on 5th floor awful such depressing colour scheme forest green walls and dark chestnut furniture. I was so upset by this room but Sylvia eventually sorted us a superb room and I was very very happy. Housekeeping bit of let down bathroom floor was filthy as we found when we mopped up a water spill. Lift took ages to get to ground floor on busy times. With bonus question first room awful second room wonderful. Score based on first room

Room wasn’t as clean as it should have been , water left in d kettle, bed sheet was very wrinkly like it had not been changed..

We couldn't check in until 4pm as the hotel had been busy. This is extremely late. The breakfast was very poor. Most items were presented in a perfunctory manner. The fruit salad was nearly non existent. The pastries were small and looked like they were out of a packet. Ironically the sausages were very nice. I have stayed in an number of hotels home and abroad in recent years. Generally, the breakfasts on offer are fresh and good to high quality. With yours I was totally underwhelmed. It was like you were just ticking a box. If you don't agree, I would ask you to look at your breakfast and ask yourself, does anything stand out........ Late on while I was in the bar I observed the cabinets and glass shelving etc behind the bar. This is a feature display for the bar, yet most of the glass is dusty and in some cases filthy. Maybe time to stand back and renew ones efforts etc?
