This is a very good hotel in this category. The outside looks quite boring but the inside of the hotel is very nice and cosy. The family room we booked was very comfortable and big enough for the four of us. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was in my opinion above average for this type of hotel, with a very wide range of options, and everything was very fresh and well prepared. The swimming pool is also great - it surely doesn't have the charm of a rooftop pool but is very convenient, quite big, and our kids had a lot of fun.

The swimming pool was good enough beds and shade. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of options for everyone.

The room is small and old. No outside window. The shower cabin is very small and leaking which make the bathroom floor wet. Humidity in the room, no towel will dry when hanging out. Dirty carpet on the floor.

Too noisy from showring of neighborhood.

Breakfast starts at 6am, which is great when jet lagged. Family suite is great for a family of 3-4. There is an airport bus that drops off and picks up right outside, cheap and convenient.

The location was good, just a short walk to the metro. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of variety and is recommended. The bar was excellent, good service, good food and very relaxing.

Everything was good, so there's nothing I didn't like.

It's a grand old dame, quite well maintained but lacks certain software for present days requirements. There were just not enough electrical points in the room. Provided kettle and hairdryer but just not enough power points at strategic locations.

I loved the location. Close to two mrt stations, near Daan park and flower market.

The rooms are quite small. Not as comfy as Howard Plaza in Kaosiung where we stayed before.

Everything was good....breakfast, staff, location, facilities but the biggest put-off was Lounge and air conditioning of the room. Lounge was not much accessible and the air conditioning of the room was way too poor. I changed the room and the aircon was the same.

The air conditioning of the room was the worst thing. it was a big put-off though i changed the room. The aircon was on 16degree but the room temperature was 23degree.

Great location, comfortable hotel with all you need - panoramic elevator, pool, comfortable bed, service-oriented staff, good breakfast, options for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend.

Great gym + sauna facilities. Room was clean and nice. Location was okay (kind of far from Metro), but Daan District is nice. Staff are kind and accommodating.

Centrally located, 5 minute walk from Zhongxiao Fuxing Metro Station (Blue Line - Taipei Metro). Very spacious rooms, with gigantic sized-bed. Concierge and reception staff are very friendly.

Nothing at all! It was a great place to stay. I've been to many hotels in Taipei as a frequent visitor, but this is money well spent. Keep up the good work.

One of the oldest 5 star Hotel in Taipei City and local landmark. Staffs were kind and helpful, and the room was clean and nice. Particularly enjoyed the hot water tab coming right up. great experience and eco friendly

Alright

The hotel is huge and very open. Breakfast is amazing and well worth adding in. The location is perfect, situated between 2 main subway lines, and there are convenience stores nearby. Several points of interest are just a quick subway ride away, and there is a large mall a few blocks away as well. The hotel also has upscale shops and fine dining on-site (we did not partake, as it was out of my budget). We visited out-of-season, but there is an outdoor pool as well, which would've been great for the kids.

We booked (and paid a premium for) a "family room" suite. The room was a lot smaller than anticipated, and further cramped due to all the excess furniture in it. It seems it is a regular 2 room suite, unless a family requires extra beds (which we did). The small first room (where the twin beds were) also had a full-sized office chair, a chaise sofa, and an armchair crammed in. The 2 twin beds were only about 5 cm apart, and you could not walk around or between the beds, or around the room AT ALL--kids and I had to climb over the furniture to move about, and we had move the chairs around (like Tetris) every time we needed to open the mini fridge or closet. In the second area, where the double bed was, there was an "extra" coffee table and a second small dresser stacked along the window side of the bed, again making it impossible to move around. It was very odd. I was not able to have any of it removed (lost in translation moment perhaps). Lastly, though they advertise free Wi-Fi (the system is NOT password protected, FYI) throughout and in the rooms, we were unable to connect on any device the entire stay. Apart from these issues, it is a great location, it is a large well-equipped property and breakfast is great.
