The fact that we had a kitchenette and the balcony with the view was lovely
The air conditioning was very noisy. It was impossible to keep it going in the room overnight as it was far too loud! It didn't really make a lot of difference!!

Spectacular room in a spectacular location. Loved the large balcony in the lake-view suite with views over the harbor that were always changing. Right at the edge of town so an easy short walk to restaurants and ferries. Breakfast, even the continental breakfast, was varied and excellent. The staff were delightful. Two days was hardly enough--would definitely return. An excellent alternative to the larger hotels on the lake.

The views, the friendly and helpful staff and the accommodations. As it turns out, we only scheduled a one-night stay. What were we thinking? Next time we will stay longer in Stresa and spend countless nights at the Residence La Luna Nel Porto because the area is one of the most picturesque spots I've ever visited.
One element of the Hotel Residence La Luna Nel Porto that some folks might be apprehensive about is that the hotel is one level up from the street. Yes, they have stairs, but they also have elevators. I became concerned about the second-level location when I injured my back three days before arriving. With a walking cane in hand, I maneuvered about the property quickly.

Amazing stay, couldn’t be more perfect. the large room was great for the kids and we had privacy, beautiful view of the lake and perfect location right across from the ferrys and next to all the restaurants, while still being quiet.
The owners made sure we had everything we need and more, and we got complimentary drinks and snacks. The rooms were very clean and the beds big and comfortable.

Beautiful lakefront hotel walking distance to the main square. We got a massive room which was probably a free upgrade.

Location is perfect for an easy 5 minute walk into beautiful Stresa and easy access to the lake ferries / water taxis.
Hotel is clean, quiet and with incredibly friendly staff. Would recommend and would return!

We stayed for 4 nights in the suit with a view to the lake. the room is big, and adults have their own room. the staff was amazing, and breakfast is also very good (2 options: one for 5 Euro and one for 20 Euro). we really enjoyed it!

The location was convenient to all of the key points in Stresa (including the train station), the room was very large and comfortable, and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

This conveniently-located property offered gorgeous views and personable service in a walkable lakeside town. The highlight of our suite was the terrace with a stunning view from which we enjoyed room service breakfasts and afternoon aperitifs each day -- when the staff found out my husband was gluten-free they made sure he had many options. We were an easy stroll from the central public squares and restaurants, as well as the ferry to tour the islands. Hanging out in the central La Stresa squares in the evening to eat gelato and people-watch was especially fun for our teenage daughters and us.
The lakeside properties require a taxi ride from the train station if you have luggage, but it was easy to get one at the station.

We had a beautiful apartment with a big terrace overlooking the lake. The view is amazing. The perfect place for breakfast or a glass of Prosecco. The staff was extremely accommodating.

the property was clean, well situated with a lovely staff, and the room was spacious with a outdoor terrace with a view of the lake. We were delighted with our stay there. great value too.
We had trouble getting the air conditioning going, but the staff got it up and running for us. it worked fine from then.

Lack of parking is a serious problem for guests with their owncars. They need to find a way to provide guess parking

Small hotel, conveniently located steps from the center of Stresa and the ferry docks . Hotel is very well maintained and has wonderful views of Lake Maggiore. It is spotless and in wonderful condition. The Manager and Staff are excellent and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have a good stay .
