I exactly want to recommend this beautiful boutique hotel. Location is great, 3-5 mins to the Baku Boulevard and City center. Easy to find just near to the Maiden Tower. My room has very cosy and comfortable. Breakfast - coffee, tea, eggs, olives, sausages and cheese very delicious.
I liked almost everything about this hotel.

Very nice and helpful staff. Perfect location in the Old City area, just next to the Maiden Tower, Central but quiet place, very good value for money and for breakfast more than I could eat, Wi-Fi works in all hotel area in high level. Generally very good place for stay.
For me everything OK.

First Of hotel location is changed, not as per booking.com, No lift, you get tired by climbing top, I was waited for more than 3.30 hrs to get the room. They took time for cleaning, by keeping the guest, delay was too much, they were not serious, just spoiled out time. When we said we are cancelling, they made it in 15 mins..I checked in at 5.30, disappointed!

I was given a room in Old City Inn hotel instead of City Walls Hotel. The room was comfortable and overlooks the old city. The price is among the cheapest. There are markets and restaurants just across the street past the old city wall. There was a radiator as well, and heated towel rack in the bathroom. The hot water for shower is great.
The bathroom is moldy and smells like sewage probably because of the old pipe. Sometimes the sewage smell can be unbearable. There are no lifts.

The old town, location, the view from the breakfast room, price and entire stay. However, I was not accommodated in the City Wall Hotel but in the Old City Inn Hotel which is several hundred meters from the booked hotel (it was closed)

The location was perfect. The staff are nice. 😍
The view of the hotel cafe is amazing ☺️
The bed was very uncomfortable and old. You can even feel the springs.
The TV was not working.
There’s no slippers and hangers available.

The receptionist at least understood English.
The mattresses in our room were like 15/20 years old. They were not comfortable at all. Since there was no empty room on ground floor, I stayed there. Breakfast was not served as continental. They served egg with 2/3 pieces of bread and little bit of cream.

I like the location. The staffs are really friendly. No doubt with hospitality.
They operate more than one hotel. City Walls hotel is closed. They operate with another hotel name Old City inn and made us difficult to find it. They have the same breakfast daily. Eggs and bread with special tea from azerbaijan.

The location and the staff are nice. They allowed me to check in early in the morning, though usually you have to wait until 2 PM.
In my room there was a problem with water drainage. The staff fixed it only 2 days later.

the location was excellent. the hotel was right in the heart of the old city and it was very picturesque. the staff also went above and beyond - organizing transfers and going to great lengths to make everyone feel comfortable. the rooms were good value for money. I felt very safe for my entire stay, as a solo traveler.
the wifi was pretty abysmal.

Hotel is located inside the old city walls. I really liked the location and its close walking distance to the two most iconic attractions in the old city. There is also a lot of restaurants, taxis, shops, cafes, shisha places, metro and downtown nearby. The hotel staff I encountered speak a good level of English and are very nice! Fahad was my favourite, he usually works on the night shift - always very friendly and approachable. He is a credit to the hotel and has a good knowledge of Baku. Thank you fahad! Good job!
Did not realise having fresh air was such a luxury at this hotel! (No window in my room)
I later on enquired about swapping into a standard room with a normal window, and was told a window would be classed as a “triple room” and therefore would cost a premium price! As I was traveling solo, I figured it would not be worth the extra grand cost for the “luxury”. I stayed in room number 6 on the 1st floor for my whole stay. This particular room has no outdoor window, rather an indoor window with blinds permanently closed. Super strange. Therefore I had no view, no sunlight and no fresh air. Essentially a box, or a prison room. Toilet bidet does not work. And shower door doesn’t not align properly when closed so the floors get wet very quickly during a shower!
Furthermore, when using google maps the hotel location pinpointed is not quite exact which was not a good start for me when I was trying to find the hotel to check in. Luckily I had a local sim and I was able to call the hotel and ask them for guidance. I know not all tourists visiting for the first time would have local SIM cards therefore, it’s not an ideal situation to be feeling lost when the location is not truly accurate on google maps, especially when in a foreign place.
Lastly, the hotel can get a little noisy and hard to get sleep or relax. Although noise is somewhat inevitable and uncontrollable, but sometimes you can hear the staff chatting loudly amongst themselves in the reception area. My room was directly above the reception on the first floor. Also during peak breakfast times, it can be quite noisy too from the sounds coming down from the terrace upstairs.
