We liked everything. The staff, the facilities, the rooms (if you choose the ones with windows). We had an issue one night with some noise in the room (probably an AC), they managed it really quick and well, we were able to move to another room.
If there is one thing I could mention, maybe the onsen that is quite basic. I appreciated it, not many people, but it has nothing incredible, compared to the rest of the hotel.

The hotel is situated in a lovely residential neighbourhood about 20 minutes walk from the center of Kyoto, which was exactly what we were looking for. The interiors of the hotel were beautiful and the hotel room itself was clean and looked lovely. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to all our needs.

I realise properties in Japan are much smaller than in Australia I think that for the price charged they were not good for money
