Don’t often write bad reviews but wanted to warn families. Apartment smelled heavily of smoke, was impossible to stay inside, we opened windows and could not get rid of the smell. Some owner replies say that they are not smokers but the owner showed us the apartment and it was evident standing beside her that she was a smoker, and she was also holding cigarettes so the owner replies are not truthful. Spend most of our time on the patio to avoid going inside, however the garden is infested with outdoor cockroaches and they come out in huge groups after sunset, can’t turn anywhere without seeing a bunch. Lots of DIY decorations inside, however distasteful ones such as a furry hairy lamp right on the kitchen counter. Additionally extremely uphill walk, we are mid 20s and it was difficult for us.

The apartment smelled of cigarette when we arrived despite the listing claiming to be a smoke free property and have nonsmoking rooms. The pillow cases had cigarette butt holes in them. We brought this up to the host and she gave us an air freshener that did not help. Now all of our belongings smell like cigarettes and the owner refuses to compensate for laundry costs and the inconvenience.

Barbara was a great host and, the balcony was a delightful addition to the apartment. We had a wonderful time in Hvar, and the location of the apartment was great for our group.

A large space with bedroom, lounge and outside sitting area with garden (and gnomes!) Decor is of the artistic-eccentric variety. Although there is a backpacker hostel next door the apartment is very well soundproofed so you wouldn't know. Friendly and helpful people :-) Location about halfway from the old town and a decent beach, and there are a couple of supermarkets close by and a fast food place right next door.

It was a little bit noisy on the first night as we had the windows open and at around 3am, a few motorbike taxis dropped off people off at the hostel next door. They were revving up their bikes as they went off.

The place is only 10 mins from a nice beach. I went there to swim three times during my stay. I encountered some problem during my stay, and the problem was resolved my the owner immediately.

There is a beautiful kitchen, but no dish cleaning tool and no cleaning rag was provided. I could purchase them from the supermarket, but it was very difficult to find a small pack only for a few days. It would be nice if the owner could provide those basic cleaning tools.

Excellent facilities and great view from the terrace. Hrvoje was an excellent host and provided great tips for Hvar and surrounding areas.

The size of the apartment was good for two couples or a family.

The two-bedroom apartment we stayed in was definitely not a 9.0, it is more like a 6 or 7! The apartment hasn't been improved/redone in a very long time and when we came in it smelled of cigarettes. The light in the kitchen was missing a light covering and some things in the apartment needed to be fixed.

Barbara was very nice and kind and she helped us a lot. She provided good advice and information about the island. She offered herself to pick us up at the ferry and helped us with the luggage. The acommodation was clean and comfortable!

Host was very kind and picked us up at three bus station. Air conditioning worked very well.

Host struggled with English and wifi was a bit spotty - not an issue for us, but I think it's important to know.

Everything was good, maybe you can fix hooks in the kitchen to hang dishcloths.

Internet was not really good

The apartment is very clean and new with kind hosts who picked us up by car near port on our arrival (which was early in the morning - 6 am) and offered the same on our departure.

The apartment is located about 10 minutes from the city center and from a lovely beach. The view from the balcony is amazing. Free parking place in the street. Quiet place. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. The host is friendly and helpful. I absolutely recommend the apartment if you visit Hvar.

We didn't like the fact that the host was entering the apartment while we were out without our permission, to turn the AC off, even though we left it on on purpose as it was too hot outside. She did this twice, and even proceeded to say that our AC temperature shouldn't be so low and that she went and changed it.

Very kind owners, the lady was saving a parking for us at the arrival, they gave us great recommendations for visiting places on the island. The room was clean and we had all we needed.

If you want to experience the genuine Dalmatian hospitality, this property is the right place for you. The hosts are warm and good people, we had great conversations and laughs together.

Nice apartment if you use it to stay the evening and night: spacious bedroom, kitchen and nice outside area with terrace. Host was helpful with tips and showed interest in what we would like to do and see in the area. As mentioned in other reviews, supermarket and nice beach area on walking distance. Parking area available a few meters from the apartment.

On arrival the apartment was super clean, but did smell like cigarette smoke masked with a deodorant. It took a couple of days with all the windows open to lessen this. This shouldn't bother everybody, but as non-smokers we did not like it. We had to do some work, so we stayed at the apartment in the morning and afternoons as well most of the days. This means mosquitoes in the morning, mosquitoes in the afternoon, and again in the evening. Washing machine for laundry was visible on the pictures, but was not available. Our host offered laundry service, but then told us it was not free with a hefty price of 50 kuna. I wish this could have been communicated more clearly. We appreciate that after discussing this it was eventually offered for free. The apartment is on the lower floor, so can be relatively dark even during the day.

Guesthouse Petra: spotless clean, great location in the vicinity of the town center, the city harbor and beautiful beaches, easy to reach transfers to Paklinski islands, friendly, helpful hosts
