Crowded pool with lots of screaming Kids. Thé pool next door is not operational so everyone usés one pool

Location was good.
The hotel website states that our penthouse suite was steps from the rooftop pool and there was a bartender on the spot. Much to my surprise there was no rooftop pool and certainly no bar or bartender.

very comfortable, all rooms were spacious excellent outdoor space.
lots of great restaurants within walking distance
toilet needed to be flushed several times as the water level in the tank was set too low

The staff were very friendly, offering lots of information. It was a great set up with each of the buildings having their own interior courtyard and pool. As well, felt very secure, as you had to be buzzed in to each building.

great staff, great location near beach, loved the use of golf carts, umbrellas & chairs for the beach... restaurants close & very good. Beautiful pool that we enjoyed tremendously.

Our room was super clean, the hotel had very friendly staff, and the property felt very safe too. We also loved the restaurant there! we really enjoyed the couple of days we spent there.

The staff at Refugio del Mar is wonderful, the lodging itself is exceptional and the location in central Bucerias is very convenient. It was very hot and humid when we were there so the air-conditioned rooms were especially appreciated. The pool is wonderful, the gardens are lovely and there are great places to eat and have coffee or drinks nearby. The small seafood restaurant right next door became a family favorite.

This place is really wonderful… I can’t think of a single problem… the rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating, everything is immaculate.

The location, friendly staff and location make this place a must visit. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. They even have bicycles, beach items and golf carts to check out. This place has absolutely everything you need in one place. I cannot thank Jorge and his staff enough for their attention to detail and warm welcome. We will be back soon!
