I really enjoyed my stay. The accommodation was outstanding, and the house is absolutely gorgeous. I was lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful dinner with local wine, and as I was biking the A2O, I especially appreciated the incredible sandwich for lunch!
Great conversation, a lovely fire, and genuine hospitality made this a very memorable stay. Highly recommended!

We absolutely love our stay there, the recently (re)built barn, the simple yet delicious breakfast, the beautiful art deco, and the thoughtful details throughout our stay. The house and the host has an inspiring story behind the bnb business; we learned so much from Hugh and his family stories, to find out more about New Zealand and its history.
None.

Most amazing place in NZL. got luck to book Hugh’s place before my flight; it was warm and stylish, with all the items from all over the world
. Each room featuring a unique theme and delightful, unexpected surprises. After four or five glasses of wine, Hugh and I shared a lot of our travels and lives. It is truly inspiring to see how Hugh recovered his home so successfully after a blaze. I regret not being able to book a longer stay, but it gives me a reason to come back.

Hugh & Dwayne were super welcoming and helpful. The barn is beautifully decorated and the rooms are exceptionally comfortable. The included breakfast was also a lovely start to each day we spent there.
The location itself is gorgeous and has lots of quiet beauty to explore. Hugh was very helpful in providing us with some more info on activities, places to visit and places to eat in the area.
