Great location to walk into the park at entrance #3. They offer meal service which is excellent and worth paying for as owner is a wonderful chef. Owners a a lovely couple that truly care about customer service. We would gladly stay there again!

Our stay was exceptional and Ante was the perfect host! He is very welcoming, helpful, kind, and gracious. The room was wonderful and location, close to P3 is ideal. I loved that we could walk out the door and be at the park entrance in 10 minutes. I stayed for 2 nights and he prepared a wonderful dinner each night. In the morning, there is a very nice buffet and he has your packed lunch ready, so that you can enjoy your lunch in the park. I really can't say enough good things about Ante and his property!

The hotel and the rooms are absolutely lovely and perfectly clean. The hotel is very well located in the middle of the nature and near the P3 entrance for easy and less crowded access to the Plitivice Park. The food is great. The hosts are particularly kind, helpful and professional.

The bed are a bit firm for my taste. The evening menu is not cheap but the quality is very good.

Plitvica River House is a gem of an Inn that is a 3 minute drive from the little known Entrance 3 to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Lucy, who owns the Inn with her husband, is just delightful. She is very gracious and knowledgeable. She will go above and beyond to make your visit a good one. The Inn is cozy. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. The room was very clean. Parking is easy. We ate all of our meals at the Inn. The food at both breakfast and dinner was delicious. We opted for Lucy’s boxed lunch. I knew from a prior visit to the park that the food there is pricey and not very good. Lucy showed us how to structure our visit to the park to make it an easy walk down hill and to avoid most of the tour groups. We highly recommend Plitvica River House.

The hosts are lovely and very helpful, the location is perfect to discover the Plitvice parks, the food is great and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. I really enjoyed my stay there!

The location! The dinner! The service! The communication! Literally everything was impeccable and just outrageously perfect. I can't begin to describe the quiet peace we found at the River House, a quivering bubble of contentment and delight. I don't think I've stayed anywhere that was overall a better experience than was offered by the Sarlija's family, they clearly have a passion for what they do and are extraordinarily good at it too! It's an absolute perfect place to stay while exploring Plitvice, and, I daresay a perfect place to laze about and quietly contemplate life too, I think staying here made me a better person.

Tasteful breakfast, very confortable accommodation and beautifully decorated. Ante gave us very useful tips for our walk in the National park. We appreciated a lot his attention and dedication to make our stay perfect.

2 minor issues: The sandwich in the lunchbox was quite small (note that if you buy food in the park you may have to wait a long time before being served, so we were happy to have the lunchbox) Unfortunately a baby cried early in the morning so it altered the end of our night, but it can happen anywhere and the hosts even apologized for that

While the rooms and property are quite lovely, in a very peaceful setting, the standout feature of this property is the hosts. Lucy and Anto welcome you into their home with loving arms and their passion for providing a 5-star experience comes through in every interaction. They made our stay very special, from ensuring our every comfort, providing a fantastic breakfast spread with homemade jams and cakes by Lucy and the best-tasting omelettes, Anto’s delicious home-cooked dinners and back door tips on getting the most out of your park experience. It felt like we were staying with old friends. The property was immaculate and the beds very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The hosts were incredible. Lucy (sp?) greeted us when we got there with enthusiasm, welcoming us in as if we were friends. She saw us to our rooms, gave us recommendations for an evening walk, and prepared a simple and delicious lunch for us. The rooms were fantastic. Comfortable, spacious, with a household feel while still having modern amenities. The location is within walking distance of the P3 entrance to the park, which had no line at all. This was an incredible stay at an incredible location. We wanted to stay longer!

The owner couple Lucy and Ante were incredibly professional hosts. They are friendly, calm, always smiling and love so much what they do. They take pride in their jobs. They made us feel we were very welcomed and treated very well. There were also 2 adorable hosts(their children) who are so nice, friendly and always smiling. Breakfart and dinner were fresh and awesome! Room was a good size, comfy, and clean. And also smells really good! Location is perfect for exploring Plitvica NP. Entrance 3 is 10-15minutes walk. If we are lucky enough to visit this area, we'll stay here again! Highly recommend!!

Ante was a fabulous host. Everything was clean and comfortable and the perfect place to start a day at Plitvice Lakes. My husband and I stayed with our 17-month old son, and it was easy and convenient to stay with a child as well. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Plitvice Lakes!

Our one night stay was perfectly pleasant. we arrived after 21:00 and hosts were waiting for us and suggested us a delicious dinner in such a late time. All the hotel is extremely clean, nice design, convenient beds, all the facilities in the bathroom. A separate thanks to the hosts, an extremely hospitable spouse. it was a pleasure to get acquainted and communicate with them. Definitely customer service they provide is on the highest possible level.

This may have been most favorite place I’ve stayed at and it certainly was during my 2.5 week trip through Croatia and Slovenia. Lucy was in constant communication with me prior to the trip and made me feel like part of her family during my stay. Ante is an amazing chef and I throughly enjoyed both the breakfasts and dinners they served as well as the atmosphere of the dining area. A must stay in Plitvice.

The owners are exceptional. Both are outgoing, super friendly, extremely customer oriented. As the temperature that they had dropped unexpectedly and we did not have clothes to match, the owner borrowed my wife some of her own clothes. The location is superb, with a back door entrance to Plitvice lake, so as to not have to wait in lines. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the place.

The owners provide both breakfast and dinner, which is great and very well done. But with a family of four the price is rather steep, paying EUR 700 for two nights, room and meals combined. That's normally the price for an all-inclusive resort. It was the only thing we found a bit off-balance.

River Haus is a very nice place. The room was clean and nice. Lucy and Ante are very likeable, helpful and friendly. Also Ante is a great cook like maestro. We feel like a home with very good friends. Thanks a lot for all! For us was fantastic stay. Kind regards Doris and Petko

All was super.

This was one of the most memorable and wonderful stays we have had. Lucy and Ante make you feel like you are staying with them as honoured guests, but to be fair they treat everyone who stays at the River House with exactly the same hospitality and warmth. The dinner and breakfasts were fabulous, much of the ingredients are grown locally or even on the premises and lovingly prepared by the the very talented Ante. Lucy compliments perfectly with her amazing Brazilian energy and awareness as Maître d'. One word of warning, look out for Ante's homemade grown plum brandy and walnut grappa which you may be lucky enough to sample on your visit. Powerful stuff! The River House is in an excellent place to start any tour of Plitvica Lakes, as you are able to enter the national park at a "secret" location which is not busy and walking distance from the hotel. Lucy and Ante and their lovely daughter have an infectious enthusiasm for life and importantly for their work. Their professionalism and attention to detail is wonderful to behold and has been honed by years of working in the upmarket cruise-ship business, which is where they met. Let them look after you; and prepare to be uplifted. We hope we can return with friends one day.

Difficult to improve on this stay, but if you found something not to your liking, I am pretty confident that Ante and Lucy would sort it out.

We loved the hospitality from the hosts. The room was very clean and a footwalk away from the Plitvice national park entrance 3. Lucy recommended a very nice walk for the national park and her husband Ante is an amazing cook. We stayed two nights and had the honour to enjoy from two wonderful dinners from Ante, he only uses local ingredients.

This is the best place to stay if you want to visit Plitvice Lakes! I have never met such attitude to hosting!! From the very beginning you feel like you get home and meet your old friends. Lucy surrounded us with total care! Told the best way to visit the National park. Was always ready to help us!! Ante is a wonderful cook. He puts his heart in every single dish! Amazing! Such a wonderful place, cosy house and loving hosts! I’m happy that this miracle place became the one, where I got proposed! Lucy and Ante, thank you so much for that wonderful evening outside. When you see a rating this high you automatically think that it can't be THAT good... but it really was. This B&B is really all you can wish for. Perfect location for when you want to visit the Plitvice NP (very close to the entrance and no queues), the rooms are great, the accommodation breaths cosiness but most of all its the hosts that make the experience unique. Lucy and Ante are the friendliest, most enthusiastic and passionate people you will ever meet. They will really go out of their way to make your stay perfect, including getting up earlier to hook you up with an early breakfast if you want to get to Plitvice before it gets busy, taking all the time needed to give you the best tips and tricks on how to make the most out of your visit to the park and cooking absolutely awesome dishes sourced from local ingredients. Trust me, you won't regret booking here!

Amazing place. Lucy and Ante were excellent hosts - super friendly. The building is finished to a very high standard - everything feels very premium (we were very impressed). The River House is lovely to stay in and super comfortable. The shower was lovely and warm and powerful despite being on the top floor. The food was all cooked on premises by Ante who clearly took pleasure in cooking - and used some ingredients from their own garden. Lucy even organised a small selection of appetisers for us when we couldn't fit in the full three courses (which also sounded excellent when brought out). Breakfast included some Brazilian cake Lucy made which was also a treat. You won't regret booking to stay here - we highly recommend. We also headed into the Plitvice park using entrance three a very short drive (with free parking) or walk from the River House - a great way of beating the crowds - especially if you get in early and walk the boardwalks almost alone. We enjoyed it immensely. For those of you reading driving up from Zagreb - stop in Rastoke en route - a lovely little town with great views, cheap restaurants and makes for a lovely break from driving.
