The owners were very friendly and made helpful recommendations regarding how best to spend our time in Ronda. Communication was clear and timely.
The perfumed air freshener in our room. The smell was overwhelming.

Stayed here with the wife, my brother, and his wife. We all absolutely loved this place. Just the wife and I stayed in Ronda last year in a hotel overlooking the gorge and bridge, but payed more than twice the price of this guest house. It has a real homely feel, lots of interesting nooks and crannies throughout, ornaments, books, pictures etc everywhere. An honesty fridge with beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks, a pool that was bigger than it looks in the pictures on here, and a lovely garden where an ample breakfast was served by the brilliant owner Gordon. The garden even has private access to an old Moorish watchtower that's been there for many hundreds of years. The room with the balcony is well worth it and has stunning views across the landscape. Watched the moon rise, and the sun rise. What a fab two night stay and would definitely return :) A+++
Street parking is residents only so you'll have to find elsewhere to park. Fine to stop for half an hour though to unload etc.
Don't let that put you off though.

We loved our stay at Salvatierra and had a wonderful holiday. The location suited us for exploring Ronda, a nice easy walk into town and also for going further afield. Salvatierra was spotlessly clean and tidy and we enjoyed the fresh and tasty breakfast served outside each morning on the sunny terrace.
Gordon and Ali were super friendly hosts giving us suggestions and advice on travel, eating out and much more.
It was such a tranquil place to stay and relax.

Beautiful quaint guest house in wonderful location. Gordon the host was very informative and friendly. Breakfast was good and we ate out on the patio under grapevines, it was idyllic. Would highly recommend 😍

Had a really lovely stay here with very welcoming hosts Alicia and Gordon. The room was spacious with a lovely ensuite shower room with great views across the gorge. Breakfast was local Spanish style and delicious, cold drinks and wine are available with an honesty box. Overall a great few days and would love to return in the future.

I had a lovely room with a spectacular view of a Roman wall and the adjacent countryside from my bathroom window. I was able to view this area on foot nearby the street where I was staying. The host and hostess were fantastic and I loved the breakfast times with lovely conversations.
Maybe someday put in an elevator for older people like me but in the meantime, continue to assist with luggage up and down the staircase. The hotel layout is very steep. But that's due to the architecture of the building and the intimacy of the historical setting.

Very friendly hosts, the view from the old city wall( part of the accomadation!), and we got a perfect explanation with all the to do's in the beautiful town of Ronda. The picture in this review is taken from the city wall :)
Nothing, it was perfect!

A beautiful, comfortable and relaxing house, which felt more like a home from home than simply a B&B. Gordon and Alicia (and baby Archie) were incredibly welcoming and kind, with lots of great suggestions for places to see, eat, and walk in the area. I stayed in the room at the top of the house, which I found lovely and cozy, with a very comfortable bed. It was wonderfully peaceful for a good night's sleep. If you are tall (I am not) then you may want to request one of the equally lovely other two rooms on the middle floor. It was a treat to be able to relax in the sitting room downstairs - also very comfortable - and breakfast was delicious, with local meats and cheeses.
I can't think of anything to improve: this is perfect.

Very warm welcome from this family-run B&B. We loved our room with a view of the hills around Ronda as well as the gorgeous breakfast, and we appreciated personalized tips on the best places to eat. We traveled during a cold snap and the room was nicely heated; bathroom was large and up to date. I only wish the weather had been warm enough to enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces such as our balcony and the shared patio! Ronda is small, but having 2 nights there allowed us to make the most of it and sightsee at a leisurely pace. The B&B is centrally located in a beautiful cobblestoned neighborhood - it's nice to be able to pop back throughout a day of sightseeing for a jacket or to use the bathroom.
Street parking is not allowed in front of the property, but the signage is confusing and we parked there anyway -- and we got a ticket, so if you're bringing a car, make sure to get Alicia and Gordon's advice on where to park (paid lot just up the road, free public parking a little further - very easy).

The Salvatierra is a unique small guesthouse with a wonderful location in the central old town on the edge of the embankment. It is perfect for sightseeing around the old town. We had a grand view of the countryside from up on the high cliffs on our own balcony, and there was even a century old stone terrace tower to sit at for any of the guests. There is a beautiful sunrise view from the guesthouse terrace and one can enjoy the sunset from the towns westside terrace just a short walk away. The scenic garden patio where we had a nice breakfast was beautifully landscaped with traditional plants and the small pool looked like a great spot to cool off even though we did not have a chance in our short visit in late September. We would have liked to extend our stay here had we not already booked our next stop. The host was very friendly and helpful with many suggestions for eating and places to visit.
we enjoyed everything and would love to visit again.

Fantastic stay in BnB on the city walls. Gordon v friendly and helpful with tips for walks and restaurants. Quiet location but only short walk to the sights and bars. Enjoyed the local produce at breakfast and taking in the views from the watchtower in the garden.

We like to stay in characteristic homes, and this one fit the bill! It’s located in the Ild town of Ronda and very close (walking distance) to everything you want to see in town. Alicia and Gordon are fabulous hosts who make you feel welcome and comfortable in their home. The outdoor courtyard area was great to relax in, and the quiet location gave us a good nights sleep.
We liked everything!
