Bex Rooms

First time staying here and I must admit, when I first arrived I did think “oh no!” as the car park where the rooms are located is quite secluded. However, there are plenty of signs directing you to the rooms, and I believe there's another business on site with cars and vans coming and going, so it doesn't feel completely isolated. There are also plenty of cameras around for extra reassurance. Getting into the room was absolutely fine, my code worked perfectly. The room itself was small, depending on which one you choose, but lovely and snug. I did have a slight issue with the heating, but after making a quick call, a lovely lady came over within 5–10 minutes and explained that the boiler pressure was low but should now be fine. She advised me to turn on the radiators, which I did, and that sorted it. The shower and toilet were clean, and I loved the little hospitality tray with biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate — such a nice touch! Overall, I had a great stay with no real issues. It's definitely a handy little place for work trips, not too far out and reasonably priced too. I'd happily stay again!

Needs two chairs in double roomq

Compact but had everthing I needed for a short stay. It was very clean. Handy for the A27 andA24

I can't think of anything

Comfortable room as always

Parking atrocious despite requesting in advance a parking space. The venue has four designated parking spaces; however, when I arrived there was no spaces available. I queried this on arrival and the owner said I would be helped to find a space when I arrived - clearly my message was not read correctly - I was already there! The four spaces are shared with a car park that has "parking enforcement" in place. As there is total confusion in the car park, this leads to stress and concern. After a long drive, the last thing you want is a parking issue particularly when a space had been reserved. The room next to me had an occupant who rose at 4am, banged around, sang in the shower, and then slammed the door on their way out. I raised the matter after my stay concerning the parking and the noisy occupant - no reply from Bex Rooms. Btw, the TV in my room was still not tuned-in properly (I had raised this on my last visit), so spent 30mins waiting for the TV do run an update and then it decided to switch itself off. Decided to go out for the evening - returned to find no parking whatsoever; and another guest smoking drugs. I've left phone messages in the past when there has been issues but no reply. All I want as a guest is a hassle free parking and stay, with a TV for company. I've stayed at the Bex Rooms on several occasions this year as I am working in the area - increasingly, the parking issue has got me down. Yes the accommodation is great value and the rooms are very comfortable indeed, but sadly I won't be returning.
