Barrow Lodge

From the welcoming text we received before our arrival to the lovely setting and extremely comfortable amenities, the abundant cooked to order breakfasts and, above all, the genuine conversation and generous spirit of our host Clodaugh, the Barrow Lodge was a 10. Ask for the water-facing king-sized room if available. Plan your days carefully, lots of driving on narrow roads, L sided of course. Flying home from Shannon was a breeze.

That I couldn't stay longer.

Accommodations, views, peaceful setting and staff. Cloddah was great and welcoming.

Nothing.

Great breakfast with homemade breads and scones etc. Perfectly cooked with v good choice.

Quite honestly everything was 100per cent.

This is an absolutely exceptional place. I would come back here straight away, absolutely blown away. It sits right on the bay/inlet, chairs on the shores to watch the birds and water it to just be, lovely flowers and trees everywhere. We loved every second there, it felt like coming home. Owner run and they are THE most fantastic people, super helpful, friendly and nice. Suuuuper clean and comfortable, enormous rooms and bathrooms, very big and comfortable beds. Very very good breakfast, their scones are to die for. Soooo yummy. 🤩 Great recommendations for dinner around as well from Clodagh, much appreciated. There's ample parking. Be mindful if you're not able to walk properly, the property sits on a slope, there are steps/stairs and sloping walkways.

N/A, this was a perfect stay.
