Kilkea Castle

Incredible stay. Beautiful grounds and outstanding staff. Room was very nice and beds were super comfortable. The restaurant was superb, as well. We wished we had stayed a extra night.

We enjoyed the experience of staying in an authentic castle in Ireland. The staff members were extremely pleasant, the areas were comfortable, and meals were very good.

Positively everything! The grounds were gorgeous and the staff we encountered there were warm and friendly. Evan from the bar was very friendly!

The room, grounds, staff were all very nice.

There was a corporate event booked at the same time and the small pub was overtaken by the attendees both before their private dinner and afterwards. It was the equivalent of being in the Temple Bar on a Friday night. We stayed in one of the 11 castle rooms, which was on the pricier end and expected to enjoy all the amenities. Had we known the corporate attendees would overwhelm the small pub and terrace, we likely would have opted to add an extra day in Galway and skip Kilkea. Management should have alerted all leisure guests in advance so decisions could be made.
