Sedgebrook Hall

The hotel let my wife use the pool whilst I was at a meeting in Northampton, prior to our booking in which was nice. The room was spotless. The food was excellent. The swimming pool was nice. The breakfast was outstanding.

The bar and reception was not well attended, allowing guests to stand for some time before being looked after. The staff were not busy, just took no notice. The spa facilities were no actually on site and had to be booked prior to your stay. This was not mentioned at time of booking. None of the spa lockers actually locked. This is a proper cause for concern as the minimum you'd have to put in them is your room key? The disabled rooms were nothing of the kind. There are stairs everywhere without ramps or lifts. Hotel staff suggested that disabled guests can walk round the entirety of the building to gain entry from the other side. I would not recommend this hotel for disabled travellers.

The breakfast was great!

The staff weren’t particularly friendly or helpful. The room wasn’t particularly clean, bedside table coffee ring marks on one side and dusty. No bags in waste bin No spoons on coffee station. Generally understaffed on bar many customers were complaining. When staff did come we and other guests were not acknowledged. It felt like we were an inconvenience. There was not a drinks menu and because of general staff unhelpfulness it wasn’t a pleasure to choose drinks .
