Hotel Emona Aquaeductus

I loved the hotel’s interior design and its lovely courtyard area. All the staff, especially the receptionists, were very friendly and welcoming. The room was really comfortable, the air conditioning was fantastic, and the little balcony was a lovely addition. The metro station was also less than a 10-minute walk away, which made getting around Rome really convenient.

The main downside was the noise from inside the hotel. We could easily hear people in the corridors, suitcases being wheeled past and doors slamming throughout the day and night. Closing the balcony doors and shutters helped reduce outside noise, but sounds from the corridors were still quite noticeable. This is something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper. I also would have appreciated having a kettle, mugs and coffee already available in the room. On arrival, there was water and a couple of glasses, but we had to go down to reception to request a kettle and mugs. Coffee wasn’t provided, so we bought our own, although I’m unsure whether it could have been requested. There wasn’t an obvious way to contact reception from the room, and if one was available, it wasn’t explained to us. The room and shower were also quite small. This wasn’t a major complaint, but it’s worth keeping in mind if you prefer more space.

My room was perfect! Very clean, comfortable, with a nice view overlooking the front patio. The location was great, very walkable to all the things I wanted to do and there was a train station close by for things with a little more distance. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming which I always appreciate. Max was amazing and gave great recommendations of spots to check out and things to do in the gorgeous city of Rome. I thoroughly enjoyed my time!
