ApartHotel Vila Minka

The building itself is nice, the area generally calm

I could hear all noises from the neighbour ´s room, including all noises from his bathroom during the night. The communication of the owner is not pleasant. Passive aggressive and defensive. She does not listen to what people say. It feels she is also a bit obsessed about herself- wifi networks called with her name, passwords too… I did ask in advance if there is a safe storage for bicycles. I was told my bike can stay in atrium (I was hoping it is inside and locked). In the end, I had to keep my bike in the yard next to the road behind a gate that was not locked. Breakfast not included. No kettle, tea, coffee in the room. I found the kitchen by accident when I was leaving.

We stayed here only for a night, as we wanted to visit the capital before ending our roadtrip. The location was great for our needs: very close to the highway, which meant we could easily leave after check-out, yet very close to a direct bus to the city center. It was the best of both worlds. As we came by car, we needed a place to park it, which the hosts were kind enough to accommodate before our check-in; we just parked our car and left for the city center. When we came back, late at night, the room was ready, so we just had to bring our luggage inside, which was very convenient. Moreover, the lady at the reception (unfortunately we didn’t get her name), was very sweet and polite, helping us with all necessary instructions, not only for the room, check in and check out, but also how to get to the city center. The room was squeaky clean - hands down one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed in. The bed was very comfortable and the bedsheets were well washed and pleasant to the touch. The air conditioning was on when we arrived, which we appreciated because the room temperature was perfect.

Beautiful little hotel in a suburb of the capital. Really nice decoration. Charming hostess who spoke excellent English. Taking the bus into the center was very easy (except for the ticket machine which didn't work)

It was clean and bright and we had been accommodated with 2 beds for me and my mate as we were traveling for a football game.

In my room the shower cubicle never closed properly meaning anytime anyone had a shower the bathroom floor got soaked. We payed 15 euros each (€60 in total) for breakfast 2 of the 3 nights. It was extremely basic and not a great selection. And definitely not worth the €15. I had asked for an omelette and my friend asked for scrambled eggs. When this came it was a 1 egg omelette and 1 scrambled egg. Not even enough to cover 1 slice of bread! On the second morning there was no breakfast at all out. We were greeted with a dining room in darkness. The lady working said we hadn't booked breakfast when infact we had at check in. Maybe a simple miscommunication but its basic stuff. So after some rushed organising we were infact offered breakfast. And the selection was even worse than the day before. No fresh bread rolls. Only the same bread in a jar from day before. 2 pieces of butter. Enough coffee for 1 person in the coffee pot. 1 portions of spreading cheese granted more came as we were finished. When booking i had some correspondence with the hotel. About the spa i was told €80 for 3 hours. When i got to the property we were told €90 euros and that it was booked out. Surely if you quote a price to a customer that should be what you try and charge the customer? Just a few things that made the stay a lot less enjoyable than we had hoped for.
