They upgraded us to a king size bed

A very pleasant hotel, well run by nice staff

Nothing really, all good.

Good size room, very clean

We put a request for a double room while we understand that it was the last room available, at arrival, we were not informed by reception and only found out when we walked into the room. The beds could easily be joined and locked into a double one; we did that ourselves. I then asked for a double duvet and was informed by reception that two single duvets can be zipped together and made into a double one. If all that could be done, why could they not accommodate our request? I am sure it would have not taken long to do so. Very disappointing, if we had known, we would have not stayed at the hotel.
