Good location, good space in the room and good shower
Bed was a bit soft and got an ‘exit email’ two hours after checking in! … didn’t make me feel very valued. I also notice that the £150 deposit is still being held, 5 days after I left

Breasfast Cereal was an unexpected bonus.
There was ample bottled water.
The wifi was very intermitted and slow when it did come online.

Welcoming staff, easy check in at the bar. The pub also had a fine selection of cask beers, unfortunately the kitchen was closed due to the extreme weather. A big thank you to the manager Toby who went above and beyond the call of duty in his hospitality.

Position. Lovely pub. Lovely staff.
Very hot room at the top of 36 stairs.
No lift. No fan. No air conditioning unit.
Hidden £150 deposit demanded by Hopwell through Booking.com.

"Warm and friendly welcome by Toby. Great gem of a place. Very comfortable room. Complimentary hot drinks and cereal. We ate in and the food was terrific. Will definitely be back."
