A very convenient location, with restaurants in easy walking distance. We were greeted by our hostess and helped with our luggage. The room was extremely pleasant and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for our comfort. The breakfast was delicious and attractively laid out. We were made completely at home, and felt like welcome guests.
The only small problem, which was a personal one, were three shallow steps to the front door. But as Margaret very kindly helped me it was not impossible.

Margaret (the owner) was warm, lovely and very welcoming. Thank you Margaret for your kindness and hospitality. Peter

Margaret was an incredibly warm and friendly host, breakfast was great, room was nice and comfy - just what’s needed on a cold NZ winter night!

Cambridge Retreat was a great place for a stopover. The host was lovely and welcomed us into her home. It was very clean and easy walking distance to 2 restaurants and a small supermarket.
A suggestion would be to have a TV mounted in the bedroom for guests to use and possibly a small fridge in the laundry/bathroom for guests to use.
