Space, location was OK but I thought it was closer.

Communication with the owner. The cabinet door and headboard in the upstairs unit was broken. The locks are too sensitive and took several tries each time before unlocking but overall I might consider staying again

The property owners refuse to communicate and are impossible to reach for any issues, by email or by phone. If you book this place, you had better hope that nothing even remotely out of the exact process expected by the owners happens, because if it does, you're not getting any help. In my case, they never responded to queries before the booking and never answered my request for a receipt.

It was just as described. We really appreciated the eatery suggestions and detailed check-in/out instructions. The unit was clean and the perfect size for us.

The bed was kind of tricky getting in and out of due to the not being connected correctly. The Wi-Fi connection was poor but we managed and not really complaining about it.

The good aspects: The neighborhood is OK - not the best but not the worst. Kitchen is good. Beds are comfortable. On street parking was available with a hunt and a walk. Backyard and balconies are cute and would probably be good to use in a long term stay.

Bad Aspects: No one is present at the property. When I called the help number, the first guy I got was no help at all. Said he had sent the email with check-in instructions and I must have done something wrong if I didn't get it so I should contact Booking.com. He wouldn't help me. He's probably right that its my fault, but standing in the rain outside locked hotel, I need customer service and not "it's your fault". Second lady I got was actually helpful, and we got in 20 minutes later. Door opens directly into front bedroom, so you have to walk through bedroom to get in and out. Bathroom is in back bedroom, so need to walk through bedroom to get to bathroom. Turning on heating fills the room with an odor of burning dust, so cleaning and dust are an issue. No private or public parking nearby, so need to hunt up a space on the street and walk. TV didn't work - no input. Wifi was so slow it was essentially useless. No blackout curtains in back bedroom, so you are up with the sunrise. Tables and chairs are spartan.

This is a property that has 6 apartment units (A to F) on two floors, although booking.com showed only a single unit (for the dates I required). The things that worked well were: 1) The apartment has all the amenities required for a short stay (AC, fan, large flatscreen TV, microwave, cooking range, coffee maker, iron, etc etc) 2) The owners. thoughtfully provided coffee powder, milk powder, sugar, salad oil, and even pepper. 3) The dining area/kitchen is spacious. 4) There are two washing machines and dryer units, in a common area in the backyard. Detergent was provided free.

1) Limited communication with the apartment owners. Prior to arriving, responses were tardy or absent. After arriving, none of the emails (through booking.com, or to the personal ID that was mentioned at the apartment door) were responded. As a result, we had to work out things through trial and error, (that could have been easily resolved by a quick response). 2) The major problem in the unit where we stayed (Unit B), one enters the apartment bedroom straight off the street. As a result, sleep is severely disturbed by the lights and noise from outside. 3) The apartment main door is old and rickety, held by a single electronic lock. It feels as though a couple of strong kicks would break the entire door; making one feel somewhat unsafe. In fact, on our very first night, we encountered someone trying to enter the apartment (although it may have been another guest, as he only tried to enter the code in the electronic lock, and not force his way in). 3) Apartment has no closet, or cupboard to store clothes, bags etc. There are no clothes hangers either. 4) The apartment appears old; as do the furniture and fixtures. There is an old wardrobe that we ultimately used, to store our clothes. 5) There are large windows facing the street and also a big glass pane on the main door. As the glass is thin, all activity/noise in the street feels as though its within the apartment.

The location is great in terms of being close to the convention center and near the Garden District. It's a very easy walk to food, coffee and shops and they gave great recommendations for where to go. The building is charming in an old historic way and it was clean. The internet worked fine.

There was no water in one of the showers. Handles all just spun and nothing happened. There was also no way to unpack anything from our bags because there weren't hangars and there were no shelves, drawers or anything to place clothes on. We were traveling for work and specifically wanted two showers (as reserved), to hang up our conference clothes. We reported immediately about the water and to request hangars, and received a response saying it would be fixed and hangars would be delivered, but neither happened for the duration of our stay. When we were checking out, we were asked via messaging to give a 5 star review, but when I responded asking if I could leave a packed up bag in the apartment or somewhere onsite for a couple of hours after checkout, there was never a response. This place has potential but there needs to be a little effort put into fixing stuff/customer service.

Great location, very large apartment, more than adequate for our short stay in New Orleans, all the facilities we needed and we managed to park right outside.

I called/text the number I was given if we had any problems and got no response. Then I replied to the owners email with our issue and no response. Kinda disappointed with that.

It could have been cleaned a lot better. It just seemed as if the place was falling apart and had a bad smell. I knew I was renting an older apartment but for that price it could have been cleaned like a hotel at least. I’d refer to some competition for advice on your business and how to provide a nice stay.

Comfortable and roomy apartment on Magazine street. steps away from nice cafes and restaurants. good location to stroll Magazine street and the Garden district. Easy street parking.
