This is the perfect apartment, situated right in the vibrant heart of Trastevere. It is located on the fourth floor—give or take a few steps, as after tackling so many stairs, I lost count! However, the climb is well worth it for the spectacular, sweeping views of Rome. In addition, the three terraces made me feel like a star straight out of La Dolce Vita. If you are looking for the perfect spot to get down on one knee for your future spouse, this is undoubtedly the place.

The primary drawback is the sheer number of stairs required to reach the apartment. Negotiating several flights with heavy luggage is decidedly taxing, making the initial entry somewhat of an inconvenience. Inside the property, access involves a staircase from the living room to the bedroom, steps to the bathroom, and further stairs to the terraces, which may require some care.

The terrace was amazing. Comfy sorry area inside, too. We loved the decor. And the location is incredible.

We had to wait in the street 45 minutes for someone to come with the key despite multiple messages the day before and that morning with RomeLoft about what excact time we would arrive. The bed is not the most comfy and just warning folks that is is on the fourth floor no elevator and the stairs within the apartment have no railing. The couch cushions also have stains so need to be cleaned.

The location was great. The balconies were nice.

Several things. The WiFi didn’t work and we asked for help on this. The host said he’d figure it out but never got back to us. This meant we spent probably $50 on excess data on our own phones for the week. The place was quite dirty. Not terrible but not cleaned by attentive cleaners. The tv had only German channels which was funny but some might not be as amused as we are. The stairs in the house are actually pretty dangerous and narrow. The lighting in most of the place is poor. The shower causes water to cover the bathroom floor. And something that really should have been mentioned is the 75 steps up to the apartment. We got used to it but there will be some people who book this place who just can’t or won’t do that climb every time they want to go into the apartment. In general, the stay was substandard on multiple levels.
