Park Hotel Asarel

Spacious room, nice location, friendly staff.

No one at reception spoke English, it was very hard to communicate. Breakfast quite bad.

The staff was great, very professional and kind. The rooms are very comfortable and each had its own balcony overlooking the park or the soccer fields. The breakfast was buffet style, very rich with many choices. The location is great.

The room had several maintenance issues that affected our comfort. The main door was broken and could only be locked with a key, not the card system. The balcony door window was damaged. One of the balcony chair and the lamp above the bed were also broken. Breakfast was very disappointing—limited options and poor quality.

The hotel is placed in a pretty quiet location, very close to the city park and this was good for walking. Also, the city center is close enough at 15 min. walking distance, so is not difficult to visit it (history museum, historical houses, etc.)

Unfortunately, the hotel hasn't a restaurant, so only breakfast was possible to have locally (dinners in the city, not far away). Also unfortunately, the hotel was a summer camp for many teenagers and even they were quiet during the nights, were pretty active during breakfast (and in the breakfast room), so the breakfast itself was a challenge with all of them around ... Also, one of the hotel's guests kept a great big dog in his room (to be clear, I have nothing against pets, but I can't agree with barking dogs near my room from 22.30 to 24.00 because his owner closed him alone in his room ...) so even my room was the latest in the line and was supposed to be quiet, actually was not ...
