I stayed at the Real Palacio Hotel in Lisbon for three nights, from 19 to 22 September. Overall, the hotel has several positive qualities: its location is convenient, the common areas are elegant, and the staff members are polite, professional, and helpful in responding to guests’ requests. The breakfast offers a reasonable selection of items, and the availability of on-site parking and complimentary Wi-Fi is appreciated. The hotel also provides a generally calm atmosphere and maintains a level of service that can make the stay pleasant, particularly for visitors looking for a well-located property in Lisbon.

Despite presenting itself as a five-star hotel, the overall experience did not meet five-star standards and, in my view, was closer to a three-star property. There was no bell service to assist with luggage and no valet staff to help with parking. The room furniture was very old and clearly requires urgent renovation; the television was outdated, and the remote control had depleted batteries and did not work. The bathroom was in particularly poor condition: the toilet flush was not functioning properly and required maintenance, while the towels were old and should be replaced. The parking area was extremely narrow and difficult to use for many vehicles. Breakfast did not include made-to-order cooking services, meaning guests could only choose from the available buffet items, even if these did not suit their preferences. In addition, the Wi-Fi connection was very slow. These issues significantly reduced the overall quality of the stay and do not reflect the level of comfort, facilities, or service normally expected from a five-star hotel.
