Hotel Sole

By the lake

There is nothing Italian about this hotel other than its being technically in Italy. The location issue is misleading as it is true that the hotel technically located just by the lake, however there is no activity there and the only restaurant that is close and actually active around is hotel’s restaurant itself, which I personally didn’t like. The staff could be more helpful and more kind and not necessarily trying to charge clients merely for tea bags. If you wish to travel and enjoy Como no escape from traveling distance by car, as there is nothing active beside the hotel. Entrance and exit from the parking of the hotel is straightforward to the open road which to my understanding is also a bit of a dangerous. Breakfast was reasonable however many times scrambled eggs were missing.

Excellent clean room. Breakfast was very pleasant and always plenty of it. We ate in the restaurant twice and we very pleased with the food and value for money. Cannot rate the staff highly enough - nothing was too much trouble.

The only let down was that there was no tea and coffee making facility in the room.

The room was very clean, had a balcony with the lake view. Breakfast was good . The staff very friendly and nice

Friendly staff, great location by lake Como

Nothing about the property, however driving on the long road by the lake needs a lot of patience!
