The Town House

Pretty much everything! The Old Town House is a lovely small hotel with just 10 rooms, beautifully decorated and exceptionally well presented. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and had good storage. Despite being right in the heart of Marbella's Old Town, it was remarkably quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent — a nicely presented buffet of simple Mediterranean fare with plenty of choice, which we particularly enjoyed eating outside in the peaceful little square. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and even remembered and used our names. We also loved the rooftop terrace, which we used every day, and the wonderful scent from the candles and diffusers throughout the reception and lounge. We felt the hotel offered good value for money.

The only (very) minor criticism would be our balcony, which was very small and had no view. Having said that, we appreciated having a balcony at all and would probably choose that over no balcony and a window overlooking a busy street. The rooftop terrace could also benefit from a couple of comfortable reclining chairs and perhaps another parasol. The music in the breakfast serving area drove us nuts :-)

Nothing but great experiences

A little gem in the heart of Marbella Old Town: It is difficult to imagine a better location in Marbella. The Town House is right in the heart of the beautiful Old Town, with countless restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and the sea all just a short walk away. One of my favourite moments was breakfast outside on the little square in front of the hotel, surrounded by common local buildings and restaurants. It almost feels like sitting in a movie scene. But what really makes this small hotel special are the people. Every single member of staff I met was exceptionally warm, friendly and attentive. Communication via WhatsApp before and during my stay was excellent and very personal, even helping me with detailed advice on where to park my rental car, including free parking options nearby. The rooms are charming, individually designed and clearly created with a great deal of thought and affection. Everything was comfortable and, of course, air-conditioned if needed. A small, personal hotel in an extraordinary location, run by genuinely lovely people. An absolute recommendation. I would happily stay here again.
