The house is as striking as it looks in the pictures. I used to live ten minutes away and I had no idea it was there, tucked away at the end of a back road. We arrived a little early and the owner's son gave the children sliced apples to give to the alpaca, sheep and ponies. That was a nice touch. We met the owners in the morning, at breakfast time, and they were lovely; very keen to hear our stories and share their own. Bacon, eggs and homemade bread were delicious.
I'm not normally a fan of shared bathrooms but the shower room and WC were separate, so it worked fine. Some guests might not like the flight of stairs to get from the car to the house, but the owners son offered to help us with our cases. The outside areas are looking a bit tired/overgrown compared to the photos. But we visited at the start of spring, after a long winter so perhaps the garden maintenance for the year hasn't started in earnest.

The host was so friendly. The room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was amazing. And the view was sublime. I especially liked the details that they added to keep the authenticity of the place.
Can't think of anything that I didn't like, except that we only had one night there - wish we could have stayed longer
