In spite of self check in we felt at home immediately

Delete We loved it all

Breakfast was good on the whole but the porridge was disappointing - quite dry and the one time I had bacon rashers they went cold quickly and became quite leathery. I would normally opt for sausage but only on was offered so I just had bacon and scrambled egg which was nicely cooked. Loved the fruit and yoghurt and the croissant, though a warm croissant [2 secs in the microwave] option would have been nice as I have butter not preserves.

On the first morning at breakfast I had an old coffee stain on the outside of my mug. It was near the bottom so I didn't ask for it to be changed but I was surprised it hadn't been noticed by staff. The bathroom was lovely except that the flush handle had to be pushed up rather than the normal downward lever and there was a problem with the cistern fill. Sometimes it kept filling and the water would not stay in the tank - it ran through. A bit of fiddling with the flush stopped it after a while. I reported it as we left but it had been like that from the day we arrived. Having only one chair was a bit of a bind but we understood why - bedroom space! We managed!

Great location, fabulous clean rooms, great staff, excellent breakfast, honesty bar, lovely garden, parking.

No ice in the machine for my glass of wine 😂

The whole experience was just simple. Room was excellent and breakfast was amazing. Staff were very friendly.
