Bella villa ristrutturata di recente, romantica, con 4 camere da letto, 3 bagni, con piscina privata, vista sulle montagne mozzafiato, a pochi passi dallo splendido borgo medievale murato. In realtà c'è un ristorante a soli 450 metri di distanza. Che meraviglia!
Monte Pigoli è una villa italiana restaurata con simpatia, che beneficia delle viste più spettacolari sulle montagne Apuane. C'è un balcone che spazia intorno alla villa con quella vista, e la cucina, la zona pranzo e due delle camere da letto conducono direttamente sul balcone, dando una sensazione davvero romantica alla casa, con la 4a camera da letto che porta direttamente al giardino per ottenere anche quelle viste!
Entra nella proprietà dove c'è un delizioso e ben attrezzato soggiorno / cucina / sala da pranzo a pianta aperta, che conduce su un balcone che spazza tutti i lati della casa, conducendo a un patio per mangiare all'aperto che si affaccia su quella vista e l'area della piscina.
La cucina ha tutti i comfort come forno, piano cottura a 5 fuochi, doppio lavandino, lavastoviglie, frigorifero e freezer, forno a microonde ecc.
La luminosa e ariosa sala da pranzo conduce anche sul balcone sfruttando la vista.
La zona giorno ha 2 divani, WIFI, TV, DVD

Questo è un posto perfetto per godersi la Toscana rurale di un tempo, ma anche ben posizionato per esplorare più lontano.

The property was clean and well equipped and the views are simply amazing, we were heartbroken to leave. We walked into the village several times, had dinner in Il Castello and Lino, loved the grocery shop with its bar, and the Osteria was welcoming and always open. The food in both Il Castello and Lino was fairly indifferent, we were really disappointed with Lino but think we may have hit a bad night. Monica & Silvano looks like the best option, unfortunately we didn't try it! We were at the villa for a big family birthday celebration and booked a chef through Tuscan Retreats for the birthday girl. It was absolutely excellent and really good value. We visited Barga and Lucca during our week and part of the group also did Pisa for the day, it's great to have the station at Casternuovo so close by. In terms of the house, our week started with poor weather and we found it a little cold. This was resolved by Giovanna. Guests can control hot water themselves, we did have some issues with this early in the week. The pool was freezing but some of us braved it! We had an absolutely wonderful week in this beautiful property and fell in love with Garfagnana.

The location of this property is absolutely amazing. From opening the windows to the views over to the Apuan Alps first thing in the morning to watching the sun go down below the mountains in the evening, we enjoyed every day we spent here. It wasn't only the view. We loved getting our top-up provisions from the greengrocer and the general shop/bar in the village. We enjoyed having a drink or gelatos at the bar. We walked around the village and the hills exploring the historic bridge on the river. We almost felt a part of this little community by the end of the week.
We also took day trips to Lucca, into the mountains and to the coast.
The house is clean and well equipped and the pool was a good size for our family.

We were a group of 6 friends and the villa was perfect for us. The pool area is lovely, as is the kitchen & dining area, which is just as well because the only restaurant in walking distance is pretty bad. The villa also has a table outside and a BBQ big enough to cook for 6 people.
The town is very pretty with a couple of friendly bars, one of which also has a small shop where you can get essentials (inc. wine and fresh bread). The views from the villa of the town and the surrounding hills & mountains is incredible. The villa also faces South/West-ish, so you get plenty of sun and great sunset views.
If you're into very hilly cycling the villa is ideally placed, and there are plenty of hikes, mountain bike routes, and local-ish lakes and beauty spots for picnics.
A couple of things did break during our stay: we didn't have hot water for a couple of days, but in fairness there had been a huge storm the night before, so that can happen and it was fixed within 36 hours. One of the beds wasn't particularly stable, although we didn't mention it and just propped it up with the jack out of our car, so the owners didn't get chance to address this during our stay. A curtain rail also fell out which only had one screw in it, but the owner was apologetic and it happened on our last night, so again there was no chance to fix this.
Overall, we had a lovely time and the villa was perfect for our group. The couple of maintenance issues were nothing really and certainly not anything that would deter us from staying again.
